So: think of, buy, cook dinner for one, eaten alone at home, not been anywhere, not going anywhere, seeing nobody ... ?
Not: Going to family, then somebody's here but working so we're having it the day before/after.
I mean: a real Billy No Mates Xmas/One?
Me probably. Although I've moved nearer to my daughter/son in law this year, they are going to his mums. No doubt I will be invited there too, but don't fancy it. They are nice enough people, but will have her daughter and her family there too and so I'd rather be on my own (as I normally am) on the day. I might see DD before they go to his parents.
so i'll cook a crown of turkey and the veggies etc. I love to settle down in the afternoon and watch what I want to - Strictly, Call the Midwife etc - total blissMortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0 -
Another one here with a use it up breakfast
Last of Greek yoghurt, with last of the honey stirred in. Thanks to whoever it was that prompted me to think of the yoghurt / honey mix :T
Followed by last of stale bread, toasted with cheapo, but not as nice as dearo, strawberry jam
Lunch I think will be more use it up, corned beef salad sarnie
I'm indoors this morning, putting off filling in my tax return but will just have to man up and get it done before lunch, I hopeEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -

Good afternoon everyone,
What a contrast in the weather, after such a glorious day yesterday it's cold and wet today
My manager has been so apart from some paperwork to be signed that's still to come through from HR that's all my bits and bobs handed back to work. She brought me the most gorgeous bouquet of flowers a mix of lilies and long-stemmed ornamental cabbages. I think I'll be looking out for some of those for the garden next year
Breakfast was the usual toast and lunch I think will be french toast and bacon as I've the small end slices of a round loaf needing used up and there are 2 streaky rashers lurking. A tomato or 2 will get chucked in as well. Tonight I think will be sausage and mash, it's just the weather for it:).0 -

I'm having a bit of a CBA day with food.
Breakfast was Greek yoghurt and a banana and lunch was a Greek yoghurt with some honey.
Dinner will be some oven chips and lightly dusted haddock from the freezer. I may have some baked beans with it. As Farway says,a one tray in the oven job. It suits my mood perfectly.
Holly,
I know the original outlay is expensive but as a CFO household, I find my Remoska invaluable. Rather than heating up the whole oven for a single tray of fish fingers/chips, the whole thing is done in the 'Moska for a fraction of the price.
You can sometimes pick them up at boot sales as people 'haven't got on with them', but for a single-person household they are invaluable.
I use mine at least once, if not twice, a day.

Nah, I'm still in denial of this internet form filling malarkey, stylus & papyrus for meJob completed now & envelope ready for posting
Thanks HH for honey tip, I'd forgotten who it was
Not sure about a Remoska, my main oven is gas anyway so cheaper than leccy. I do have Actifry which is fine for just chips
Talking of ovens etc, tonight dinner is more bung it on a tray in the gas oven. Breaded cod fillet & frozen chips, with nuked frozen peas. That will complete my fish meals for the week, once it's gone it's goneEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -

Can you cook most things in them?0 -
Two sausage rolls for tea.
Six in the pack, two yesterday, two today .... so I think we can safely assume it'll be two tomorrow as well0 -
