It's June, it's June! Pinch, punch etc...

With that sweep of the calendar comes renewed vigour in the old happy, healthy, hearty efforts!

    I aim to:

    • Cut down extremely on the socialising, my downfall. I have swimming, gardening and free cinema planned. Maybe lovely country walks too. :money:
    • Dry out this June. :coffee::coffee::coffee:
    • Fingers crossed I can be cleared for gym induction. :j
    • Try to be more 'plant-powered'. :starmod:
    • Bye bye chocolate. As much as I used to love you, I love orangutans more. And I flipping don't like the texture the palm oil gives cheap chocolate either.:(
Today: b. Friday fried egg sandwich - homemade not bought in.:money:
    d. light cheese, red onion sarnie, houmous crudities!
    t. Prawn Thai curry from scratch.

    s. apple

Well here's a funny story. Usual week, Thursday was all fruit Thursday as normal, all good in the hood. However, Thursday night I had the most appalling trapped wind, dreadful stomach pains, stomach really bloated etc. I remembered reading on mumsnet a posting from someone who'd had the same issue after a surgical procedure and her asking for solutions.
I tried some of the suggestions- downward dog yoga pose, (didn't work) googled suggestions but found trying to read the instructions on the phone with one hand whilst trying different things and following some complicated manoeuvres somewhat difficult! One of the things I'd seen on mumsnet was sliding down the stairs on your stomach head first and mentioned it to my husband.
Once he'd stopped laughing hysterically he was urging me to try it. Knowing how accident prone I am (broke my toe today!) I'm sure he was suggesting I try it for either the comedic value or else he was counting the insurance money! He's not stopped giggling about the idea yet and had even said he'd find out how to use the video function on his phone especially for the occasion.
Anyway, fun fact- I weigh myself in the morning on Thursdays and at nighttime and usually they're about the same. What with all the bloating I was 4lb heavier, so whoever said air weighs nothing is lying!
I'll have a proper weigh in tomorrow and report back ( the trapped wind is gone, albeit with no stairs involved!)

    Happy Saturday everyone x

    B - yoghurt and berries

L - scrambled egg and cherry tomatoes

T - fish cakes and peas

    All from BSD.

Will weigh myself in the morning.
  • Feeling down, have done weekly weigh in and in spite of trying hard I seem to have put a couple on. Am using fitnesspal to keep an eye on myself and have changed daily calorie down. Have found out some Slimfast to have a try to see if I can boost it up a bit. Have had a water infection which effected blood sugars etc so maybe that is causing problem - be glad when that clears up - lack of sleep too. Ah well, onward and downward.
