Good afternoon everyone :j
Firstly, my condolences to you Knit Witch and Mr Witch, sorry to hear your news x
It's been a beautiful sunny day here but I cannot get warm and am currently wrapped up in a big cardigan. I don't feel ill, just frozen to the core. I would sit in the garden but the neighbour's grandchildren are visiting and I have never heard such a load of foul mouthed screaming from such young children. I am quite shocked and I don't get upset easily. Never mind, I am sure they will be going back home soon and peace will reign again.
Today's meals have been really nice so far. We had burgers for lunch and I made my own from turkey breast mince with salsa and chilli powder mixed in. They were delicious and very very low in points. I have 2 left over for tomorrow as well. I am going to buy some more mince and make some more for the freezer.
I have changed my weighing in day to a Tuesday so just have to keep going until then. My only 'badness' was the chinese takeaway on Friday so hopefully I will have a loss this week. The weight is certainly harder to lose the older I get. I suppose being very sedentary (lazy) doesn't help matters either
Well, I hope you have all managed to get some sunshine today, take care xx0 -

Morning all
Knitwitch my condolences to you and your family.
Cranky40 totally feel your pain re starting exercise. I am unable to run due to dodgy knees and a hip replacement but have just started taking up walking again and for the past 2 weeks me and hubby have been going out for walks. I know its doing me good as I can already feel a difference in my clothes but my weight was stagnant for a couple of weeks.
Good news is that I have lost 1.5lbs this week yeh. Really happy with that as it was DH's 50th Birthday party on Saturday which involved take away pizzas, nibbles, cake, garlic bread etc. Good thing was I offered to drive so no alcohol.
on to next week0 -

Bank Holiday weekend has involved a lot of crutch-walking, which I think has helped counteract the excesses of the beer garden. I can happily report a loss of 1lb
My Fitbit strap totally broke and I'd been holding it together with sellotape, so 11K steps on Saturday were recorded from my handbag, so I probably did more. Luckily, just got an upgrade as a present so that's charging now.
Today's plan.
