    Good morning everyone

It's looking like it is going to be a lovely sunny day today. I will be pottering around the house though I may venture into the garden later. My diet went to pot last night with the arrival of a big fat chinese takeaway. It was delicious though and I am not going to wear sackcloth and ashes about it. I am back on track today and that is all that matters.

Today my lovely OH is going to be in charge of cooking so we are having a cooked breakfast. He is burning the sausages as I type :rotfl: and arguing with some song lyrics that are playing. I love him so much :D:D.

I am not sure what we are going to be eating today apart from some cremated sausages. He is planning on making some home made burgers for tomorrow so I have ordered some turkey mince to come with the shopping so mine will be lower fat.

Hope you all have a great Bank Holiday weekend and get out and enjoy the sunshine, take care xx

    Good morning all,

Sorry that I haven't been posting. I was working on a little project which I knew would send my weight up but hopefully only temporarily. I have started the couch to 5k app and I'm on week 2! I did repeat the runs from week 1 until I found it easy and I'm also repeating week 2 so I'm in my fourth week of running but have another week 2 run to do (tomorrow hopefully). Once I've done my 30 minutes on the treadmill I get on an exercise bike and cycle for 30 minutes so about 5 or 6 miles as recorded by the machine.

I want to be fitter and I want to improve the circulation in my leg which although no longer has an open wound is still far from properly fixed. I have a kind of pothole in it and no feeling in a large area around where the wound was so.....I go to the council gym and I explained that I don't want to use any of the other machines just now. They were great about it so I just potter in, do my thing (takes just over an hour) and leave.

My weight did go up but I knew I wasn't doing anything unhealthy so I managed to carry on with what I was doing. I read a few "starting exercise" case studies online which showed weight gain at first and helped me to keep at it. I also measured myself which luckily has showed a loss and has also helped me to stay enthusiastic.

Weight for the four weeks so far happened as follows :-
    Week 1 : 2.5 lbs on
Week 2 : stayed the same
    Week 3 : 0.5 lbs on
Week 4 : 2 lbs off (finally, yay!!!)

The result so far is that I weigh 1 lb more that when I started this challenge but I'm hoping that I'm back on the downwards slope now, so if you could record my 1 lb gain please Knit Witch I will then do my best to dispose of it. The good news is that since I started measuring myself at the end of February I have lost 5 inches from my tummy - I won't bore you with the rest of the measurements, I've carried on for long enough as it is.

Take care all of you :)

Lovely thanks. I'm rubbish at keeping track. That's why you do it and not me :rotfl: You're absolutely right - I've just checked back. I lost 13 lbs in the last challenge and the final one pound for my stone in this one. I'm now back to having lost 13 lbs again, so as you say, back to not losing anything for this challenge.

Well not a bad day for me, as I was working I can only eat on my lunch break, which is good for the lbs.

B porridge, dash of milk, lo fruit from freezer.
L lo spinach and chicken pasta, pear
D chilli con carne (popped it in the slow cooker this morning) rice, sprinkle of cheese and 1 small pot of poppadums (df had tortilla chips)
S 1 cereal bar, will probably have a yoghurt later as they are expiring tomorrow and I have a couple to eat!

New lawn mower should be arriving soon so will retackle the lawn again either tomorrow or Monday.

    Enjoy the weekend x

After two weeks of STS finally a weight loss of **2lb** ( sorry can not get phone to change to red)
Have tried quite hard this week, to kick start again, averaging 22000 steps a day and weighing out some of foods to check portion sizes. Seems to have worked.
Late evenings seem to be my downfall , so resorting to weetabix seems to have helped late night cravings of sugary snacks .
Hope things are improving with ill relative knit witch.

I've just been to the gym and done run 3 of week 2.....and 6.1 miles on the exercise bike in 30 minutes. I had to go today as it's a council gym (cheapest option) so it's shut tomorrow which is my usual day. Sundays are usually "sloth" days here and I think my body has gone into shock - I drove home craving an apple of all things :D
