We got back from holiday Thursday and spent £44 as had to stock up on all the basics. We also grabbed a couple of pizzas to have for a movie night (instead of ordering a Dominoes) so quite pleased with that. I roasted a whole chicken yesterday and there is loads of meat left. The OH is planning to use the meat to make a quesadilla stack for tea. Luckily blight hasn't hit us yet so we have a tonne of tomatoes and cucumbers to get through from the greenhouse so we're OK for salad stuff.
Need to get a few more bits in, and some stuff to see me through a stretch of night shifts, but I'm hoping we come in under budget. I had a quick nosey in the freezers and we have SO MUCH FOOD.August Grocery Challenge £98.02/£100

Very happy to say I'm under budget again this month.
Will need to start the September challenge with a big shop as most of the stores are very depleted and there is very little in the freezer bar the fruit/veg glut from the garden.

I will prob need a loaf of bread tomorrow unless I free up enough evening to make one, and I am out of carrots for Wednesday's coleslaw, but it's looking good for once.MFW diary here. 1 Feb 2017 $229,371 - MFD Feb 2043  aiming for May 2028

Well I've well and truly bust my budget this month. However, I didn't do very much real shopping, it was more stocking up in the sales from sainsbobs - stock cubes 10p, jars 20p, curry pastes 40p, etc. couldn't say no!! Finishing on around £135/£100...
I therefore enter September in a very strong position, plus a better routine as I'll be back at school. See you all on the other side!!
