Internet spends yesterday £119, new tele for my bedroom, did I need it, NO, I have an old big back in there, only use it a few times a year, but winter coming so tend to go to bed earlier, and save on heating.
Putting loads of stuff on recycle as clearing spare room and hoarded stuff must go. Including old tele.Do I need it or just want it.0 -
I need to join in again, I've been AOL for a few months. I notice I'm still on the list but please there is no need to update my target as I'll keep a tally on my signature for this month.
I've set myself a target of £250 for the month of which I've already spent £70.30. That's for two of us plus a dog.
It's so easy to spend so it will be lists, lists and more lists, No YS, special offers, BOGOF etc, unless it's on the list. I aim just to buy exactly what is needed and to reduce the amount of stock in the freezers and cupboards also not waste anything that comes off the veg plot.
I've decided not to be so loyal to my favourite supermarket but that will be hard.
I tried for the first time the French owned supermarket last Monday and was pleasantly surprised. It reminded me of the English supermarkets when they first started, I can remember shopping at Tesco's in the late 60's it had a very similar look.0 -
Bought bananas, mozzarella, basil, rocket and a 6 pack of 7up free from lidl for £4.24. New total: £279.95/£300
Hope all is well with you guysx

Which sm is French-owned in the UK? I have ordered stuff on-line from Channel Islands before now and it was from a Carrefour associated company but I wasn't aware of any others in UKSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

My 3-5 minute journey took 20-25 minutes! I got off lightly though, as there are others stuck in it now with a 3 hour delay!!
Ooh, I heard that on the local news (I'm off J16 not far from you in South Gloucestershire) - glad you didn't get stuck in it too badly, it sounded hideous!
I've managed either no or just a couple of pounds spends in the last few days - have enough stuff in to make two different soups, plus have a few portions of things already made and also a couple in the freezer. Need to hurry up and make them as they are using up some bendy veg!
Once they are made - and I can happily portion them up and freeze, so really should try and do both tonight! - I can see properly what I have left and finish off my meal plan for the week ahead! Grr! OK - that's tonight's mission - indian cauliflower and lentil soup and spiced tomato soup. :TI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old Style, Crafting and Techie Stuff boards. If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. so much for my 'just sarnie stuff' shop this week
dad called me with a HUGE list of stuff he'd run out of so on the list it all went.
oh, and then I found morries had an offer on sausages, so I thought i'd better stock up, and then I saw the bacon off cuts and remembered I don't have any of it left.
anywhooooo.... got home, portioned up sausages for the freezer to find I have 6 packs in the freezer already! think i'd better start looking at sausage recipes
total for shop £34.40. doesn't leave me much left for the month but beano plants are going mad, so sausages, home grown new potatoes and beanos it is for the next 2 week0 -

I had an online delivery today of supplies for when we head of festival-wards next Thursday. And I've decided to only count the food and not the beer and cans of g&t as that's saving money on buying beer in the pub tents. So it's £40.69 but they were out of stock of a couple of items so I spent a further £3 this afternoon going to get them. I will need some bread and fresh fruit next week just before we go to take along as well but we're pretty sorted now.
