Morning,
Just seen dd off on her first proper school trip - aww.

Happy birthday Froddington!
Well done Valli on the too-big jeans. I'm having the opposite problem here.
A slow start here, not helped by the fact that I've just got absorbed into a book and it's due back to the library van today! Need to put it down and get on.
DD safely back home last night after her apparently awesome school trip. School broke up yesterday so she is still in bed. I finished job 2 yesterday for the summer as well, so a day of leisure today.
WM run and a queue waiting to go in. I think that the sun just maybe trying to emerge, so I will get a load hung outside if I can. Ironing pile cleared this morning in preparation.
Catch you all later.0 -
Hi all (: Bathroom done and dusted. Yesterday was a complete writeoff due to 2 long appointments in 2 different towns nowhere near each other, starting at 07:45 but back to normal today, thankfully. Tired dot com (:0

Back from babysitting. Dusting and polishing done upstairs but the cat is asleep on the landing (had a bad night, poor love, grrrr) so I'll vacuum up there when she gets up.
Washing is almost dry, sunny and breezy here so perfect for that.
getting there...0 -
Couldnt log in yesterday so did a scan on my laptop this morning..seems ok now.
Congrats and Happy Birthdays being sent
Up to date with lists...having to hoover whole house everyday at the moment as DS2s excema is atrocious...he is shedding skin everywhere.

Dampdusted everything...cleaned windows..and hoovered everything in sight
Been raining here all night and this morning but cheered up a bit now so 3 loads on line....loads to go...cant keep up with the towels as DS2 is bathing several times a day
Kids break up today:j...
Tomorrow will be a right off as we are going to the Meadow of Hell...as OH calls it with DD! and the granddaughters..so catch up again at weekend...I also have granddaughters overnight Saturday ...so ironing will be being done late on Sunday when they are eventually picked up xFeeding 6 Adults 1 Teen a 8 year old with hollow legs and a very fussy 5 year old. Soooo ready for it to be the end of term here - only one more day to go.
You would be proud of me ladies. Had one lady who I've worked for who is a total PITA, very rude and condescending. Today I thought - s** this, no more. So polite text sent saying I won't be doing anymore work for her - feel liberated :j
I have hoovered round, kept on top of the kitchen and just sorted the post. Oh, also did a tip run. In the rain lol xMFW

Again I've not managed much here. This is much harder than I thought it was going to be.
Monday- did the shopping, swept the floor, tidied tops and wiped them down as well as cooker top. Made mental note (again) to clean oven. Also do need to clean fridge but didn't get round to that.
Tuesday- tidied all toys away and hovered through the whole house. Living room was so much nicer to sit down in that evening.
Wednesday- didn't do much. Helped oh move a rose bush from late mils house before sale concludes as the bush was a wedding present from us.
Thursday- stripped and changed beds. Bathroom sink and toilet cleaned. Tiles and floor wiped.0 -
Trinity, don't be so hard on yourself
You've done something every day, just imagine if you hadn't done those things. That's the point of flying, just to keep doing something every day and gradually it will become easier.

Honey_Bear wrote: »Really struggling with energy levels at the moment, and for the first time in my life I'm finding myself nodding off in the afternoons. I'm getting a bit concerned about it because it's not as if I drink or stay up late. I've have understood this 10 years ago, but not now. I had a age-related healthcheck about two months ago and they didn't find anything to worry about so it's not anything obvious.
As a result I've not been achieving very much on the flying front and feel very guilty about not posting every day. The house looks okayish and I'm tackling longterm muddles so I'm making progress but not feeling perky means that everything is a bit of an effort.
Re. energy and dropping off - sounds normal! For years Mr N had dropped off after work; did a survey and many of his younger colleagues admitted to the same. Seems not much changed now he's retired, although to be fair once he's had a nap he is far more efficient at doing stuff than I am.
I pretty much echo the second para - don't seem to be achieving much list stuff so feel too guilty to post, although the house is ok and various things are getting done. Actually I've just re-started my running programme and although it is hell getting up and out there, I feel virtuous and more lively for the rest of the day.
today we have done lots in the garden, I've sorted out a load of post stuff, we went to the bank and solicitor, then took MIL to Mr T. There's a load of washing about to be brought in dry and there aren't too many things round the house in places they aren't meant to be......apart from my office and I have made progress on that.
Happy birthday Froddington. Have you been following the sad saga of the sapphire rush in Madagascar? I feel sorry for the people who need to make a living, but even sadder for the Indri lemurs; we saw quite a lot.
Huh, like I said just been gardening and realised a bee stung me. I saw it when I was cutting back some aubretia and now I can see my finger swelling! Luckily I'm not allergic.
Beautiful dog IonaRemember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
I've declared a strike!
Too much attitude going on for my liking
Tbh if anything at least they've stopped bickering with each other if they're annoyed with me lol.
Heaven knows when they'll put themselves to bed... :eek:Bossymoo
