    O

Pigpen you would be an amazing homeschooler. .

if i didn't have the attention span of a gnat, maybe.. I know my limitations and i know there would be lots of planning and good intentions and that is as far as I would get.. the children would suffer socially too because I am a hermit.

girls clothes packed.. i need to sort through as their bags contain every tshirt, skirt, dress and shorts they own lol.. they need (not white) socks, pjs, knickers and swimmies packing next... then i can do mine and twinkles.

OH brought home 4 crates of frozen jacket potatoes (around 100 in each) and 1 of carrot/swede mash (10Kg).. my freezers are bursting with potatoes and bread!.. at least i'm not freezing air right?

    Much nicer evening here :p

We have 3 more school days but I don't imagine they'll do much of value.

I've cleaned 2 bathrooms today, emptied the bin, sorted some laundry, watched the show DVD (brilliant, even DS wanted to rewind to watch the seniors dancing in cabaret costume a second time the little monkey :rotfl:), emptied all school bags and sorted contents, and kept on top of kitchenalia.

Probably sounds more than it is, but I've been quite careful to rest this week, to try shake off this cold. Not that it's worked yet...

Brought the piggies in for some hooman time. I think they liked the change of scenery. Boy pig was even popcorning. Honestly, with the size of him you wouldn't think he could get off the ground. Must have been the excitement of the kitchen roll tube stuffed with hay and dandelions lol.

FBO we used to have a cleaner as preventative measures against bickering- go for it! Xx

    Ditto what Ionafan says, YL!

A busy (not in a bad way) day at work today. I'm now watching a film with a massive bag of popcorn and a cup of tea. DD is out at a sleepover, DH has met friends at a nearby pub, so I had toast for tea! My meal planning this week has gone out the window. My only contribution to flying has been WM x 1 and DW run. Oh and cleaning up the kitchen after a teenage baking session.

It is absolutely tipping it down outside - was it me that complained about no rain last week?!

Blimey its freezing out there - and nearly dark. Just walked the dog with hubby in my winter jacket! Good old British summertime.

Thanks Iona and Faye, those who know me on here know that confidence isn't my strong point!

Signing off now ladies. Wine, jim jams, and feet up.

    Morning!

Football cancelled due to heavy rain, and it seems one of my downpipes may be blocked - the guttering is overflowing at one corner  will need to get that sorted before it causes problems.

Still to get DD to dancing but at least she's indoors and DS and I can come home in between. I will spend the time organising the spare room ahead of packing for the kids holiday. DS can go on his Xbox. Other than that, we have a free day, probably do some crafts this aft and watch a movie. I may even tidy my desk!

There is laundry to do to, and a last check over for old uniform to go the the school sale. DS school tops came up lovely with a Dr B3ckmanns in wash whitener - no soaking and mess free, impressed. So I won't be buying new ones. He has a pack of plain ones but these are the logo ones and they still fit fine. I might de-bobble his jumpers too as they still fit.

That's about the size of my day. Glad the furries were left in the conservatory last night so we don't have to go out in the rain to feed them haha. Although they had tipped one of their houses over, right in the middle of the pen, so they didn't have much room left!

    Day One of Holiday Hell...

Morning all. Not sure if it's a good one yet or not. Currently hiding in bed with a cuppa. Small people watching cartoons with milk. Animals fed and DH packed off to work for a few hours.

I must sort out the washing today and tidy the pit which is my bedroom. I did change the boys' bedding yesterday and swapped their pillows for fresh ones so I could wash the minging, clumpy lumps that they've been sleeping on. Need to find the tennis balls to aid tumble drying...

Tiny had arrived back (again) demanding breakfast. How rude. S'pose I need to get up!

    Happy holidays

    Morning all,

Slow start to the day here; DH has gone to work, kiddies are playing with lego and I have a brew :p

Heavy rain so no plans to venture far this morning. We are going to a family party late afternoon. I need to catch up on some laundry, give the fridge a good wipe out and steam the floors.

Right, going to make sausage butties, have great days all xx

Rosie and I have done a 1.7 mile / 40-minute walk this morning round a beautiful golden barley field and up a hill, then along a very narrow and muddy, therefore less-used, public footpath, and back down the minor road. We sussed out where there are soon going to be lots of juicy ripe blackberries ;) I have started taking a small plastic box out with me for picking and then freezing them when I get home. Some of the blackberries along the lane behind our house are already ripening, but they are too close to civilisation and are culled regularly. I keep thinking how lucky we are to live on the very edge of town and be able to get out into the countryside.

Both of us fed; kitchen and bathroom S&S'd; DH already hard at work (?) on the railway.

    - 2 deliveries expected today, both for Rosie: name tag* and car boot guard. It's been an expensive month, kitting her out!
    - Church leaflets didn't get delivered yesterday because of the downpour so have to be done today - fortunately it's now dry and warm  - but I need the dog guard first, so that Rosie can come with me, or else it will have to be done after DH comes home and can dog-sit.
    - Emails and phonecalls
    - Type and personalise about 40 letters, ready for delivery tomorrow
    - Gardening

*This has just arrived in the post, so she is now compliant with the law :D

    Catch up later x

Went out on works leaving do. Took daughter as was spare ticket. Went to the dogs. Then the casino. I do not drink when gambling because it leads to unwise decisions. I drove home. Colleagues, who had seen off about half-a-dozen bottles of wine went in taxi 'to town' (centre of steel city. Need to go and get daughter because phoning me at 1:30 am not guaranteed to actually wake me up :rotfl: she's 'of an age' with them anyway. I won bits and lost bits so about £20 down; inc drinks so can't moan.

    Washing machine running; siggy updated:T
