Your plan for December looks lovely MW - enjoy

Your "restful" weekend looks like mine normally do - why is it that we can't just switch off for a while (and still have things done?!)!!
I get anything free from Mr W via Shopm!um as they refund the full, not discounted price. That means I get money off my shopping, and a freebie... even if it is cactus water :rotfl:

They never stock the cider in the Mr A near me
I didn’t even finish the cactus water in the end so think that says it all :rotfl:Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

DD2 is really very sick. Raging temperature, can’t even stomach water. So today has been a lie on the floor with her day (because that’s where she wanted to lie down bless her!) Took her to the doctors for the second time in 24 hours I was so worried, and luckily they confirmed she’s still hydrated and that it is a nasty virus that might take some time to shift. Poor thing.Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

Not sure on how old she is but we had a very similar one with our son when he was 2. The doctors suggested using a syringe of 2-3ml of water every 15mins. Then after an hour when it had stayed in we upped it to 5ml's. Sounded so simple and we felt so 'small' when they suggested it, but to be fair it worked a treat.MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0

I highly recommend ice poles/pops for sickness dehydration. The cold is refreshing and there’s more liquid going in than you think in tiny bits....the sugars help too.
Hope it’s not going to tell you all, seems to be doing the rounds here."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

Funnily enough my GP suggested the same thing yesterday, and it hadn’t even occurred to me either! Thanks for the suggestion.I highly recommend ice poles/pops for sickness dehydration. The cold is refreshing and there’s more liquid going in than you think in tiny bits....the sugars help too.

Great idea on ice poles, will pick some up.
Good news is DD2 is now able to stomach food :j. Bad news is she is well enough to shout for me 24/7 :rotfl:. So a very tired MW today. I’ve already broken two porcelain plates this morning .
Yesterday evening managed to do some Xmas ordering. BOGOF with 20% off & free delivery PJs on way for me and DD1. Just about to order new sets for DD2 and DS, will use voucher we won as well as staff discount. Also ordered Christmas activity books for DS and DD2, these will make up most of the Xmas eve boxes as already have second hand DVD, Crayola colouring stuff bought super cheap from Arg0s last month and some flumps threw in to make my Mr T order up to £40 the other week. Just need some hot choc sachets and some bear yo yos and think we are most of the way there. I bought the boxes for £1 each from Poundland last week, they are lovely and hopefully can be reused. I should have a voucher for craft stuff which if still valid will pick up some making things too. OH will get Xmas themed socks and a beer in his.
So feeling pretty good about Xmas eve boxes.
For Xmas day, ordered one book for each of the DC. One I will pay for with free stamps from Waterst0nes today :money:. The others were from Amaz0n and unfortunately don’t have any vouchers for there at the moment but at least they are ordered.
Am trying to focus on quality rather than quantity. I have bought one nice meaningful book each rather than a lot of better value sets. The PJs weren’t the cheapest but made me so happy choosing them and at £18 each weren’t insane.Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

DD2 is getting better, although still slipping into fever last night so spent much of the evening on the couch with me whilst OH was out. Hoping her temperature stays stable and that will be well enough for nursery tomorrow.
Yesterday had a lovely afternoon in a pub to celebrate a friend’s birthday. I avoided joining in a tab, only to discover at the end there was a 25 discount available ! Although everyone else had less to eat and drink than me so at least I paid my way. The food was lovely and I still stand by my general rule of avoiding tabs, there was a confusion about the split that took 15 mins to sort out.
I then popped into Mr W for more calpol for DD2, only to not add a PYO pick properly and miss out on a 62p discount. Honestly, anyone would think I’d been up most of the night :rotfl:!
DD2 book collected, got it free and card for friends birthday for free, plus one more stamp to add to my collection :j! Might even have enough already for another free tenner.
Just realised why my Green J!nn claim from Monday has been repeatedly rejected - the checkout person had torn it off wrong so the vital numbers at the bottom aren’t there . It’s worth £2.70 so not the end of the earth but still annoying. Note to self: check receipt properly before leaving.
Anyway, one last Mr W shop, £60 spent, loads of super ys savings on fruit and veg, plus offers, PYO and £2.15 from Green J!nn to come back. It was an over £100 shop full price so very pleased. Christmas crackers worked out £3.75plus two free coffees and two free Sunday papers. Also found out you can combine ys with discount if let cashier know in advance :money:.
Xmas tree bought from IKEA,literally one of the last dozen left. £25 spent and £20 voucher for Feb. Plus £23 on wrapping paper, food bags and a cool bag for packed lunches. Signed up for a family card to get £7 off.
We’ve thrown some snow balls in the garden and now have a tree to decorate.
