    All sounds good.....enjoy the party!

    Thank you! :beer: It's the first of 3 in the next week :eek: but as I'm volunteering the day after 2 of them, it's a good reason to not drink too much. :rotfl:

    Partywear all shopped from my wardrobe. I may need to buy a new eyeliner as my old one has run out, but that's it.

    Lunch from stores, and I'm going to get a free coffee today from Mr W :beer: when I help my boss buy some things for next week's party.

    Plus it's my last working day of the week :j

    I'm definitely feeling under the weather, have had a play date and did a ridiculously expensive Xmas shop at L!dl and now on the lemsip (with medicinal G&T on the side!)

    Some small wins:
    * Saved on the annual R@dio Times by downloading it via a library app.
    * Think I've finished the Christmas shopping, just paid for an annual membership for London Z00. Planning a visit on Boxing Day, if we visit 3 times in a year it will pay for itself and as it includes Wh!psnade I don't think that will be a problem! Money taken out end of Jan too, so has a bit longer in our account.
    * DD1s camp is running this year so that will be her main present
    * Got discounted fizz and home made chocolate dipped honeycomb for adult gifts this year. This worked out about £7 a couple, cheaper than last year.
    * We can now get a free swim for a companion for DS, OH took him today (£5 saved)
    * I put back a number of reduced clothes in the charity shop yesterday
    * didn't need any more make up
    * shopped from wardrobe for remaining Xmas party outfits

    Tomorrow we're planning a cheap cinema outing (£1.50 per person, will take our own popcorn), a McD lunch for kids, and then we have a Xmas party. We have a bottle to take from stores and OH making some more honeycomb.

    Not so good:
    * think I've overspent on my personal account so need to repay that after pay day, its about £10
    * I coughed so hard I vomited this morning and feel dreadful. Have no patience and have lost my temper a few times today.
    * we house swap on the 28th and our home is very far from ready!

    To do:
    * REST!!

  • Lovely cinema visit, HM popcorn, McD lunch and got kids feet measured ready for the sales. Also managed to concince DS to get a haircut FINALLY and it looks lovely.
    Noticed that L!dl rang our turkey through TWICE so due a £16 refund.
    Need to get party ready, and have a lie down. Exhausted!

    Just a quick hi - January was crazy busy with work and personal commitments, and finances went to the bottom of the list. I'm feeling overwhelmed and had a very bleak day on Sunday so need to be positive and concentrate on what I can do, rather than beat myself up about past mistakes. I have a work trip coming up next week, the airline went bust so had a busy weekend rearranging flights and meetings, and there's still a little to finish up. Treating DD2 for constipation this week so OH and I taking it in turns to be at home with her. I've also lot about 5 pounds since Christmas, which has really helped with my self-esteem.

    WINS
    * Current account now up to date on YNAB
    * Noticed a monthly 'subscription' I can't recall signing up for. Grrr. Sent a terse email, and 3 of the 4 payments refunded (£45), need to complete a form for the final one.
    * Finally cashed a cheque - one day before expiry, but cashed nonetheless! £68 back in account
    * We did our first t@x return since our pension payments were increased. There were unexpected complications, but the good news is we only had to pay £77 :j instead of the usual £2k.

    TO DO
    * Apply for final £15 refund (£15)
    * Call bank and ask for refund due to collapse of BM1. (£55)
    * Update Credit card expenses on YNAB.
    * [STRIKE]Pay for DD music camp this summer DONE[/STRIKE]
    * change flight time to be back for DD1 concert (£40 change cost)
    * Book hotel 1
    * Cancel hotel 2
    * Book hotel 3
    * [STRIKE]Book gutter man to fix broken gutters EMAIL SENT[/STRIKE]

    Aw thank you! I had lost another couple of pounds, but have been 'picking' for weeks which has its consequences. Much more focused today.

    Lovely cinema visit, HM popcorn,

    I missed Bohemian Rhapsody when it came to the cinema. My friend (who has seen it about 8 times :eek::eek::eek:) got the DVD so we were all round hers last night watching it. Really enjoyed it, the casting was amazing (particularly Brian May I thought) and it only cost me two bags of popcorn.

    Museumworker have you tried the 3:4:5 breath. Dr Raj had someone doing this on his Dr programme for about 2 minutes a day and it brought their blood pressure down. It's breathing in for 3: hold for 4: out breath for 5.

    Have found 3 yoga playlists for 30 minutes each. Will be using one today. I use them for free yoga when my yoga class is cancelled (as it is today)
