  • a Nsd woohooo and another sunny bumble round the park at lunchtime. Shame I had to work the rest of the day. Budgets are currently holding up. But I do need to 'husband shop' by the end of the week so he'll survive being home alone and I will use a lot of fuel next week.
I also need to pay the woodworm treatment deposit. But it's looking like I can cashflow that rather than hitting the savings.
Plumber booked in for Saturday to move and replace our bedroom radiator, if I can cashflow half then that's good. I'll also have the rest of the bedroom blinds to pay at some point too, maybe cashflow.
Good job my expenses will be high this month, very little overtime (half a day) and no supply so far - I was offered a day today, but couldn't do it due to other work. Still, we are in a much better position than some and for that I am grateful.

    Wish.

  • a very difficult work day today. I have made a big error, I have apologised, I can only await forgiveness and learn from my mistakes.
Deposit paid for woodworm treatment, I'm going to cash flow it so unfortunately I can't count today as a nsd, but I'm grateful I can cashflow this and our house will be 'healthy' again when it is done.

  • Sorry to hear about the work situation. Sounds as if you handled it in a professional way so here's hoping the other people involved do likewise. Hope it all works out OK for you.

Thank you for your kind words Hazel, unfortunately my error showed complete unprofessionalism on my part. So it is I that has to be professionals and hope that the others involved forgive me for my ways and allow me the opportunity to regain their trust and respect which has been utterly trashed by my actions.

My boss is supportive and for that I am grateful. A lesson in 'you've learned the hard way' for me.

  • Even so, be kind to yourself. It's hard to own up and make amends.

I'm so sorry to hear you've had a hard time at work. Hopefully the powers that be will understand that we all make mistakes? Good to hear you have the support of your boss. Cyber hugs on the way! x

Thank you for your cyber hugs and kind words. I'm trying so hard to be mindful and not dwell/beat myself up, but I'm finding it very difficult.

Today is a new day. I need to eat (first thing that goes in such situations) then I am fee a bit better generally.

  • Thank you for the kind words expressed towards me and my work situation yesterday. I was a careless muppet that caused the situation and I have learnt my lesson. My boss phoned me this morning to see how I was and to reassure me that I have her support. It's those little touches that make me grateful to work for the organisation I do. She is a good boss.

A nsd today. Hoooray!!!! We haven't actually done a lot, but my bank rewards have been paid so a little uplift on figures.

Tomorrow morning (8am urgh) the plumber is coming to move and replace our bedroom radiator. I also need to do a food shop and we are going out for a friend's Christmas meal tomorrow night. So definitely not a nsd tomorrow.

I need an early night tonight as unsurprisingly I didn't sleep well last night. Hopefully back on track with everything tomorrow before a long work week starts on Sunday afternoon.
    Wish.

  • Evening all, not a nsd as predicted. Plumber has been and moved and replaced our bedroom radiator. Not had the invoice yet, but I know how much it is going to be. We then went to the supermarket. Weekly shop came in at under £20, so pleased with this. I picked up a couple of birthday presents, but they came from the spending money pot. Just the evening out to go tonight, so a few planned spends will go there.
I've left hubby with a list of things he may need to purchase in the week, he shouldn't go over the £20 budget left for the coming week though.

Tomorrow I will need to get fuel for my car and I want to stock up on some snacks bits to save me money throughout the week while I'm away, hopefully I can have some 'no personal spend days' then, just what I can claim on expenses.

Tilly tidies done. Inching closer to my next mop pot goal...
