Holy moly - not sure how on earth this has happened but I've only gone and got -3lb this week meaning I FINALLY got my 6 stone award! I actually can't believe it after all my indiscretions this week!
In January, my consultant asked me where I wanted to be by the time the summer holidays rolled around and this was my mid year target! So I'm chuffed to have got it with a week and a half to spare until I go away. My weight loss has definitely slowed but I'm going to put it out there that I'd like to get to my 7 stone award by Christmas! Might not seem like 1 stone is much in 5 months but I've really struggled with this last 7lb and it's taken me 7 months to shift!

Amazing loss MissTeach
Yesterday I managed to eat some stuff and it was pretty much all on plan.
Today's plan is to try and eat more. Got plenty of food on my desk, but then I did yesterday too, and took most of it home.Zebras rock0 -
Hi Bubbs
Well done Misstech -what an amazing result for the week - I'd be ecstatic!
Thanks for all the advice Maman! Hmm see the problem I have is that I am not so great at saving syns during the week mainly because I have a very sweet tooth and tend to use at least some of them in the evenings for sweet treats!! But having said that even if i tried to at least save some each day I will have some extras banked for when I go out for a meal or whatever! I need to learn to say NO to dessert! Funnily enough for me alcohol is not a major issue - i can say no to that much easier than i can to a dessert!
Also I really need to get motivated with body magic. I have become so lazy! I have PT twice a week so thankfully that means that I am at least doing something but I need to get outside and go for runs and burn this fat!!! Overall I would like to lose about 1.5-2 stone. I don't have tons to lose but enough that I really don't feel comfortable in my own body at the moment. I carry all my weight in my belly...right now i look preggers!
How much does everyone have to lose? What do you find most challenging and what motivates you to carry on??
Really happy that I have found a forum of slimming worlders as until now I have relied on following SW peeps on instagram which is great but you can't really engage with them in the same way. Only reason I keep the online membership is for the syn calculator!
Yesterday was day 1 back on plan and I had:
Breakfast - 40g weetabix minis (hexB) with skimmed milk (part hex A) with some chopped strawberries and half a banana
Lunch - I had a half a packet of Moroccan couscous with some honey roast salmon followed by some grapes
Dinner - I had Batchelor's Pesto Pasta n sauce (free) half a warburton thin with 10g of melted mature cheese (rest of my HexA)
Finished off with a free Muller light yoghurt which i topped with a mini meringue shell a fun-size mars and 2 wispa bites
I ended the day on 11.5 syns .
Good luck for this week everyone!0 -
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Hopefully there won't be any more where that came from!
Oh no, they're all long gone, that was a rogue one that though it had got away!Unfortunately, no one on the thread has had anything very positive to say about SW online over time...
Welcome Ceycey! I was one of the slaters of the online membership but I must admit after going back to it earlier this year in a determined (vain!) attempt to get back on track, I found it had improved a lot. I've renewed my online membership this month purely for the syns info, and it means I cannot plead innocence when it comes to syn values!!
In terms of your sweet tooth, I'm terrible too, but I find having an Options hot chocolate on an evening helps. Two syns and because it's hot it lasts a while, and knowing I have that to look forward to helps me resist other treats during the day (usually). Or perhaps a mini milk type lolly for 2-3 syns? They last a while as well because they're cold, so they feel like a bigger treat than they are!
Glad you're managing to eat something Kathryn xxx
Today:
B - Coffee (1), watermelon chunks
D - Salad: Salmon, grated carrot, grated beetroot (Tesco smoky stuff, 1), cucumber, coffee (1)
T - Pesto pasta (3) with chicken, onion, mushroom, cherry toms
HEA - Milk
HEB - 16 almonds
Syns - 6 as above, plus probably another coffee (1) and a hot chocolate (2) = 9
Weigh day tomorrow :eek:Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Ceycey, I'm with you on the sweet treats at night! I have a treat plate every single night.
I tend to save my healthy extras for the evening. So I have 250ml alpro dark chocolate almond heated up in the microwave with a tiny pinch of coconut coffee added to it and 2 hifi bars. I quite often also have some strawberries/raspberries and a yoghurt with that and depending on if I have any syns left that day (I normally do as knowing I get chocolate at night stops me picking during the day!) I will also have a chocolate bar.0 -
Great loss MissTeach :j :jand congratulations on your 6 stone shiney.
I am going to go back to group tomorrow.

Glad to hear that beanie. I'm sure they'll be pleased to see you.:)Yesterday I managed to eat some stuff and it was pretty much all on plan.

Glad to hear that kathrynha. It's worth having the food there though. It'll stop you eating rubbish.Ceycey1980 wrote: »Yesterday was day 1 back on plan and I had:

You'll probably get away with it but a third of everything you eat on Extra Easy is meant to be Speed food (from the fruit and veg list) and all you've had is the strawberries. Grapes and bananas are free and healthy but not Speed. The old Green plan didn't specify an amount of Speed food which is why if you only had a smallish portion of salmon you should be fine. Please don't mind me preaching but I'm obsessed with Speed.:o
I don't have a sweet tooth but I do enjoy an apple chopped into a bowl of cottage cheese. It seems to be more satisfying eating it with a spoon.
Personally I had 3.5 stone to lose and I've been at target for almost 6 years. There a number of us target members maintaining on here.
Today's dinner is very much thrown together. Because we didn't eat out at the weekend when DH was poorly I'm a meal short on my plan. So it's burgers from the freezer and lots of bits to be used up before my next shop. I've also chopped up a melon that was on the turn so I'll snack on that.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk
L: ham, fried egg, fried LO vegpork burger, SW chips, roast courgette & carrot, mushrooms, tomato, sugar snaps and broccoli
Snacks: melon
Syns: squirt of syrup (2?)0 -

Hmm yes those are good ideas - I do have options hot chocolate at home too... maybe I can throw in a few mini marshmallows and some low fat squirty cream (haha see how I get carried away when it comes to sweet treats!!)

Sorry MissTeach.. just realised that in my earlier post I called you MissTech...!! Coconut coffee sounds fab... where do I find this please? Ah the legendary Hi-fi bars... I don't go to meetings so I have never tried these.. I am tempted to attend a meeting just to stock up!! Yep a treat plate/bowl of some kind is what keeps me going through the day! I l like to make it into a proper dessert by basically chucking everything into a bowl so that is a bit like a sundae. Yummy (currently thinking of what I will have tonight!)So today's menu
Breakfast: scrambled eggs made with 2 eggs and a dash of milk (hex A) on half a warburton thin (2.5 syns) with mushrooms and beans
Lunch: WW tortilla wrap (HexB) filled with m&s chicken tikka mini fillets (1 syn) some salad and a bit of healthy living mayo (1syn)
Snack: Alpro Go On soya yoghurt (1.5 syns) and will probably have some melon in a bit as I am feeling peckish!
Dinner : fillet steak (trimmed of any fat) with mushrooms, asparagus and new potatoes and an egg - all free
Sweet Treat... still contemplating this - will update tomorrow!:D0
