Good news Funky! I wish I was in a position to cancel my contract and get your deal - but I'm happy with the £5 discount for now for being an O2 mobile customer. I have not been with 02 before but it makes a nice change to speak to British people on the phone and get answered quickly.... and the people have always been helpful (apart from the once already mentioned when the bloke couldn't give me any idea when my exchange would be enabled - which was freely available on the web). I tried registering an Orange SIM yesterday and ended up being put through to India.

Waiting patiently for Pipex to give me my MAC code...

EDIT : MAC code arrived by email today!!! Great. 02 broadband within 2 weeks according to the 02 website.

Their 100 day money back guarantee ended on 31/3/08.

They now offer 50 days to try it and get your money back if you don't want to stay. Closing date for this is 30/6/08.

Go live date is Monday. The router arrived yesterday despite me rescheduling the delivery date (and having it confirmed) to Thursday. Fortunately a neighbour took it for me (but the delivery driver didn't leave me a note saying the package was with them).

I may be imagining it but I have connected first time, every time to Pipex since I requested my MAC code.... I wonder if they upgraded me in the background?

    Roll on Monday.
  • I am looking to leave Blueyonder / Vrigin BB after being with them for two years to make a £60.00 per annum saving on my BB bill.

I have trawled the net for two weeks reading reviews and I have only read 3 negative ones out of the 100s I have read, I think those were from folk with little BB or love a good moan.

I am on cable but before that we have dial up, a brand new BT line installed and we used to get dial up 54/55kbs so I see no issue with phone line BB.

Just called O2 amazing response in seconds all full of knowledge very, very helpful and a UK call center blow me theres a first in a long time. Looking good I am taking to chance.

Saving £60 is essential feeling the financial pinch like everyone else at the moment. :T

Another plus side which I found out was the modem does not have to be wireless you can hardwire it via ethernet port winner. Will not use wireless connections.
