I think I might be about to bring everyone on a downer, but I need to share this.
One of my work colleagues has just been hit by a bus! I didn't see the accident, just afterwards and as I knew who she was they wouldn't let us leave.
Big head injury (lots and lots of blood), pain in her back. She was awake and talking, and could feel everything, but it's just so horrible.
The Bus didn't stop for the red light and just ploughed into her....
I'm sorry for sharing, but it's just shaken me a bit.Current debt - £16,300
Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -

:grouphug: I'm sorry hun, maybe they'll let you go home - you can't be in a fit state & be expected to work after that upset.
Hope she's ok & recovers 100%.

Oh my goodness Lucy, I hope she's ok. Being awake and talking is a good sign with a head injury. Remember heads do bleed an awful lot and often look worse than they are.
I can understand you feeling a bit shaken, I would take it easy for the rest of the day. Hugs to you x:A

A nurse was passing at the time on her way into work and she seemed to think that she would be ok.
I know head injuries are bad, I'm just glad I didn't see anything, what I did see what bad enough.
I'm sat here trying to work out what I was doing before lunch now.
Bless her, she had no idea what was happening and keep asking someone to help her. But she was trying to sit up, so it doesn't look like she had any back injuries or anything.Current debt - £16,300

Yep back at work and starting to calm down. I was chatting to the guy in the van behind the bus and apparently he had been driving irratically (?) for about 4 miles.Current debt - £16,300
