It's a nerves thing and I talk waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too fast when I'm nervous.

It's hard to explain briefly but we are going to be putting Health Centres on the Secondary schools so they can access a nurse or services like drug information or sexual health practioners, all on the school site, so we bring the services to them.

I have to introduce the idea to half the school (other half tomorrow) and get the kids interested!

You'll be fine ... deep calming breaths .... if all else fails imagine them all naked (i have no idea how that works but people always recommend it for nerves :rotfl: )

    GOOD LUCK!!!

    Hi Gemzie

I am sure you will be fine, I used to have to do talks in Schools when I was in my late teens, once you get into the flow of talking then the nerves do go.

    Good LUCK :)

tig, Doctors ALWAYS cover their backs and will say 2 to 3 weeks (just in case the secretary or typist is on two week's holiday). In reality ultrasounds and x-rays are often typed either that afternoon or the next morning and sent out immediately. (CT, MRI and other complex scans take a bit longer because often you need to find a consultant radiologist to dictate a report)!

Fingers crossed your GP will get his act together and ask for the results to be faxed. Cat.x

tig (quandry?) You are a mum. You are worried about your child. You are worried about what the doctor MIGHT say (probably much worse than he will actually say), but that's the role of mother!!!

Men don't seem to get how much we women worry about things completely outside our control but we still worry and get more upset by their lack of concern. Mine was the same with the last pregnancy - told him that because I had to go for appointments, I wanted him with me because I needed his support (didn't change the crappy outcome, but at least he was there).

    Rant away to us!
