Feeling down today, must be mid-life crisis! At my time of life things should be going easier but they're not and it really feels like I'm not going anywhere in life in fact i think im going backwards!?? do you know what i mean?

I'm still in the same house 23 yrs on which is far too small for our family but cant aford to move and had the same car for umpteen years thats rusting now! Both me and DH are not working (for the first time in ages) and struggling worrying about the next mortgage payments etc - whilst all around me people are buying new cars, holiday homes, flats to rent out, - Im having difficulty managing one home let alone a bloomin holiday home and booking up next years cruise:rolleyes: and asking have i been on holiday this year:rolleyes: err NO.
God I feel such a failure! Im even getting embarrassed to meet up with people incase they ask about my situation:o so i just avoid them.

I know its not the end of the world, but i just want to scream and bawl my eyes out today!:o sorry for the morbid post, - i really hate posting when i feel glum but i cant put a brave face on it today - so BIG apologies allxx

Aussielass - made your zucchini/courgette slice last nite - yum! think it will go very well with chips and beans next time!:D

kyle - Have a lovely time! even though you've prob already left!

catowen - well done on the win!

Edit to say: Im having a cuppa, bacon/egg sarnie then im going out in the sunshine to the shops and buy something I cant afford! that should make me feel better! and then i shall return...non-moany!:D

:EasterBun and have a mars bar!!

Morning all........................((((((((((HUGS))))))))))) if you need one.......

Lovely bright, clear cold morning, we have been out to the library and Mr T's and to collect my medication. OH has his last bowls match this afternoon, so will have to sign off to get some lunch in a mo.....

Had a good nights sleep, but then I was shattered...............went to bed at 9.30 and woke up at 9.20.......had been awake a couple of times, but just turned over and went back to sleep.

My lap top is coming back today, if it breaks down again its going back to Acer, I bought it because it has the operating system I wanted and I was told that Acer was a good make.........oh well........its still under warrenty.

No plans for the rest of the day, have got some apples out to peel, might make a crumble. I got a large pack of streaky bacon for £2, it would do fine for bacon rolls for our christmas lunch, so I bought it and shoved it in the freezer along with a pack of cumberland sausage that was also reduced. Managed to spend £10.........

Right off to get OH his lunch................see y'all later.................
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

Shez Slobbery wet hug :grouphug: for you. Don't beat yourself too much. I know it's hard not too. We all have highs and lows in our life. I could tell a few of ours which would put hairs on your chest. :D It is hard to hold your head up, but try and soldier on. Like one of our past prime ministers said *Life wasn't meant to be easy*. :D That really went down well. (((hugs)))
Oh I've a fantastic recipe for Zucchini Relish if you want to try that. :p

katedenise & Skint Cat :wave:Welcome to OS.

I'm off to bed. DH is waiting for me. ;):D Byeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Hello everyone!

Shez Hope things get better for you soon, it's hard to look at the postitive when you're so down.

Catowen Is your DS in Year 6 at the moment? My DD1 is and we've been to look around 3 different High schools in the past month, it's such a big decision to make.

    Kyle ENJOY!!!

Well I'm supposed to be in work today but both DDs are off sick with high temps and sore throats. I'm hoping to dose them up in the morning and send them in to school, then at least if their schools phone me I won't feel guilty about taking time off work. The guilt of working mothers!!!
I can't get motivated today as my routine is all wrong! I have sorted out the family finances yet again and I've got to sort out my games stalls for the church fair next weekend. Tonight's tea will be sausages in barbecue sauce, potato wedges, carrots and sweetcorn, smoothies to drink followed by butterscotch angel delight (a family favourite). That is if the DDs have any appetite by then!

Churchmouse - seems like we are sharing our cold around - would be rude not to. Also oh has woken up with it but that will probably turn into 'man flu' by the end of the day.

(((Shez))) hugs to you, I know how you feel. Looking back over this year recently I have realised how low I have been since I broke my wrist in march - a combination of many things really. I have just started coming back to normal but its a slow process. Some days are good some arnt but the good days are getting more often. I really do believe in thinking postively but havnt been practising what I preach recently. Also the weather doesnt help, think a lot of people suffer from SAD in England. Have a lazy day today and hopefully you will feel a lot better - (((hugs))) also to Catowen as you are feeling low as well.

essex-girl - (Hugs to you too) I do keep trying the positive thinking, but like you say it is difficult to keep on track sometimes, when all those around you seem to be moving forward so I havent practiced it either lately! Must get back on track - thanks for the nudge.

    Afternoon all.
Didnt get time to post much this morning, after my shopping trip yesterday my house looks like a bomb has hit, how come if i have one day off from the housework ect the place goes to pieces!!!!
Kids couldnt find uniforms this morning or school items just because `i` Hadnt got them ready and put them all out under their noses like i normally do, it has taken me up to now to get the house back on track, almost there just need to hoover upstairs and do some ironing but im having a well earnt break.

Yesterdays trip xmas shopping with my sister was great its years since i spent the whole day in town, we had a pub lunch and got loads of xmas bits sorted, including me as my sister gave me some money towards xmas.(some of you may know why that is). So all in all feeling good, the fact that dd stayed in her own bed all night also may have helped!!!
Hope your all doing ok, catowen i went down the picking a secondary school last year for ds1 and i am now doing it all again for ds2 for next sept and will be doing it the year after for ds3!!!! It is hard and i sent ds1 to a school where only 4 of his friends were going to and i was quite worried but he has settled in great, we are off to have our first meeting with his tutor tonight to see how they think he has settled in, and im not to worried as he seems fine.
Right off to finish making pizza for tea and hoover up

    welcome to the new posters
haribo enjoy your trip to edinburgh

I was at the hospital for 2 and 1/2 hours rhumatology first for lectures to be pulled and prodded and given a jab in my very ample bottom and why is it when you have to have something like that it's always a good looking doc that stabs you they have finally told me how bad I am and although not good at all there are some things they can do to try to make it easier so in about 3 weeks I start some new pills
then it was off to see the vampires so they could jab me with another needle then of to x-ray where the wait was over an hour
so I'm home had a cuppa had some lunch and now I best shift my bum and get some job's done
    see you later
    pam xx
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was going to blame you
