Every time I mention it, usually the rain starts..so here's hoping.

    Hugs to those in need.

Catch up with you all later.

    Morning all

Congrats on the win Catowen - just spent the last hour on the comps board - DH set me a challenge to win/make an extra £2k from now until next December

Haribo - Enjoy your trip - hope you find what your looking for in the shops.

Kyle - Enjoy your holiday - I'm sure you'll have a great time.

Hugs to those in need this morning.

Been trying to phone Dr's since 9am for a prescription, my cold has gone and left a nice sinus infection in it's place - lovely!

WM is on - 2 loads on the line already and hope I can get this last load dry too - had to use the TD yesterday to do the towels as it was just to damp to get them dry indoors without the heating on.

Got DD's veggi friend coming for dinner tonight - they had a big falling out last week and I'm really trying to encourage them to stay friends, they travel to school together and sit together so they really do need to learn to get on.......best of friends again now - you know how they are! Going to do a vegetable bolognaise sauce.....might make a tear and share bread too as it went down very well last week.

Was going to list some ebay items today but it's likely to be slow and swamped with stuff with their lastest half price listing day offer, think I'll leave it for a week or so.

Hope you all have a lovely day.

    Good morning all!

Quick post from me, I really must get some stuff done today. It's sunny, so the washing that hung limply all day yesterday not getting any drier is back out today! Here's hoping it actually dries.

I'm still feeling better, but Mioliere I know where you're coming from. My cold seems to have "come back" today, and I'm sneezing like crazy:confused: Still at least I don't feel wiped out anymore. Hope you're feeling better soon Essex girl, think we need to pass these colds on to someone else now;)

Did a S/C beef stew and dumplings yesterday, and there's lots left so DH has asked can he have it again tonight. Yes he can:D :D That saves a job, perfect by me:rotfl:

Have just had the post delivered:T We don't usually get it before about 1pm-2pm, so better service than normal:confused:

Mrs mix hope the hospital appointment has gone well.

    (((((hugs)))))) if you'd like one.

    Must go,

    CMxx

  • Good morning everyone

I was looking through MSE yesterday and happened upon this fantastic forum. I've read many of the threads and I think its brilliant.

In just a couple of hours I was inspired... :cheesy:

Last night I went home and wrote a list of all the food in my cupboards, my fridge and my freezer and I intend to use the lot in the next month so I don't need to go food shopping for me and OH again until after pay day (25th... thats 3 weeks today)... :A

A bit of background... I booked a hoilday with OH for November and being so naive I thought that I could easily manage to pay for it... Well I was right in a way - the money coming out of my account is manageable... :undecided

    However...

Went to visit my mum at the weekend - she hardly had any food in the house so me and OH had to eat out from Thurs to Sun... and he isn't one for cheap stuff either!! Don't get me wrong had a fantastic time but now I've got about £15 to last until pay day!!

Anyway, I just wanted to say that I'm finding everything really useful and I am looking forward to being more thrifty and saving more money and becoming virtuous and debt-free very soon... :j

    Thanks again to everyone.

I am looking forward to the start of Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday - it's one of my favourite programmes and every year I try and persuade DH to join dancing classes with me and every year he refuses! I may have to ask Colin Firth instead!

:naughty: There's a queue behind me....if you dont mind!!!!:D :rotfl:
