Morning All
Have a fantastic holiday Kyle
Damp and dreary here in Essex, still full of cold but will try and get on today.
Have some paperwork, loads of housework and ironing. Also must remember to pop to the library today - its only open 3 days and I keep forgotting.
Used my new tefal special fryer last night and the chips were lovely - no more oven chips!!! You only need to use a spoonful of any oil so its not unhealthly. Need to try different things in there but will leave that for when I feel better and am more up straight with other stuff.
Roast chicken with all the trimmings tonight, not much use to me everything I eat tastes like cardboard at the moment.
Anyway enough moaning going to finish my coffee and get on.
Have a great day.
x
Mrs MIx - hope it goes well today .0 -
morning all,
Hope every one is well this morning horrible day here, foggy and damp, but off to work so it doesn't really matter.
DW on now, no washing to do, will have a quick swipe before work.
DD slept at her nans last night, but has phoned this morning to say she has a terrible headache, so she is off school, she has had this headache a couple of times so might make a trip to the DR.
Got Spag bol for tea, OH has it with Potatoes as pasta does not agree with him, and got shopping being delivered by sainsbugs tonight.
I phoned OH this morning to say he had left his wallet at home, and he said as he was walking down the road there was a £10 note in the road in front of him :T more cash for the xmas fund.
Mrs Mix hope the hosp appiontment goes well for you xx
Aussielass, good luck with the potty training with DGS, I remember whe my DD did her first number 2 in the potty, she lifted it up to show me, and half of it landed on her head, and half on the carpet
Florida eh .... wish I was going... have fun the kyles xx
Off to make my sandwich for work and get more tea xx0 -
Morning people :hello:
I really hope you have a fab time Kyle. You really deserve it. x
Good luck at the hospital Mrs Mix.
Aussie. Remember that lettuce is full of water. Probably not the best thing to feed a small potty training grandson.
I have a small bit of excitement in my life!! OH and I have won all expenses paid tickets to a conference in Glasgow THIS WEEKEND!!! We leave at the crack of dawn tommorrow and are being put up in a fancy hotel with all meals provided. Should be good BUT...I'm worried sick that a. I'll let OH down with my lack of business accumen and b. All the ladies will be posh and professional while I will probably still have jam in my hair.
When I work at the office I dress really casually but the dress code for this thing is business casual.
I tried on all my old work clothes last night but I've put on weight and they're all groaning at the seams.
Funny enough Oh tried on a jumper this morning and thinks it may have shrunk cos it no longer fits. Didn't occur to him that he's been eating too much. :rotfl:
So I'm off to buy some clothes today and do a birthday pressie shop. It's OH's birthady tommorrow along with 2 of my best friends little ones so I'd best get organised.
I popped into the Co-op yesterday and bought strawberries and mushrooms that were reduced to pennies and I did a big batch cook of strawberry jam, mushroom soup, chicken and mushroom lasagne, beef stew, flapjacks, scones and muffins. So tea is organised tonight.
Dtwin2 is back at school today so I need to tidy up a bit and change the spare bedding as in-laws are coming to look after girls while we are away. Girls aren't happy about missing Daddy's birthday so we'll probably do something on Sunday for that.
Have a fun weekend.

:hello: Hi all, think I better start contributing rather than just lurking! Moved into new house with OH last week and I'm so tired. First time being domestic goddess and god it's hard work. No kids, but by the time I've cooked din, washed up, made lunches, tidyed, ironed/washed, cleaned kitchen/bathroom I'm fit to drop then cause I'm not used to sleeping every night with OH he keeps me awake. God for my old bed at Mum & Dads!
Gonna try the flylady thingy, but since I can only access internet at work (full-time) I have to do everything in the evening.
Any other suggestions? Gonna batch cook this weekend with OH out (and catch up on sleep) but trying to vary fresh meals every night for him. (We're doing Slimming World together though he's still drinking wine and eating Doritos in frotn of me
)
Really fed up today mainly cause tired
Sorry for the moan!0 -
Good morning everyone,
kyle - Have a wonderful time in Florida, hope all goes well and will look forward to hearing about it all when you get back xxx
Mrs mix - good luck at the hospital xx
Aussie - have fun with DGS!!!
Haribo - well done on your win, hope you have a lovely time. (i had another win yesterday, nothing as exciting tho, 2 dvds, one on vw beetles and one on minis!!!)
Nothing exciting happening here, one LO here and i think im coming down with the cold thats being passed around the OS board!!! The weekend cant come fast enough for me now, im not sleeping, feeling lousy, have no money and no get up and go = goodness, arnt i a bundle of fun!!!
Think i will go and get a cuppa and play with the LO for a bit, im tempted to have a sleep when she does later, but then i worry that i might get an even worse night if i do that so will see how i feel later.
Nothing much OS happening, but i do have a load of bananas to use up, so i might make a banana loaf - we are having an easy dinner of pasta later, as DS has his secondary school presentation and tour tonight - i dont finish work until 6, and the meeting starts at 6.30 so it has to be quick and easy tonight.
Hope everyone has a lovely day, ((HUGS)) to anyone who wants or needs one xxx
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Good Morning everyone! Late start for me - my laptop finally died yesterday so I'm back on my desktop. However, when I switched on this morning - no internet connection    Tried everything (even waking up a 12yo boy to help

 ). No idea what it was; I rebooted the computer, and here I am :j Getting a new laptop next week (and the chap will load all my previous stuff onto that :T ).
Got home from w*** yesterday, to fing that the slabs for my new patio had been delivered. However, the numpty who'd brought the pallet had dropped it into the middle of my drive. How was I supposed to get my car in    Good job DH came home to help. We moved them all by hand, but some of the larger blocks were too heavy for me.
DH is off w*** tomorrow, so he's taking me shopping for curtains. Might have a coffee and cake, too
DH has her first *teenage party* tomorrow night. It's hosted by friends of ours, so she's bringing 3 friends home for tea, they'll walk to the party, and we'll collect them at 11, and they'll sleep over.
Off to get some bread started, then tackle the laundry.
Haribo - enjoy Newcastle
Skint Catt - welcome :j
Hester - you have the patience of a saint :A :A :A
Kyle - enjoy the US :T
Donny Tia - ?que tal?
Catowen - well done :T will they make for gifts?

Oooh, post's just arrived, including my Amazon rental DVD :T We were planning to watch this weekend, and thought we might have to delay due to postal strike :T
Have a great day, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Better start today with two at school and only the baby at home today although he is full of cold and grumpy. So far got slow cooker on doing mince stew for tea and will shove some dumplings in later, BM is on as well hoping it will come out ok as it always seems to flop on me and I must tackle Ironing Mountain.
Think I’ll do a bit of the ironing then tackle another section of wall paper stripping in the hall which has turned into a nightmare job with horrible paper and the walls are ground floor up to roof height so it’s all up ladders.
((Hugs)) and ~~~~good luck, support~~~~ vibes to all that need them

Morning all!
Huge thank you to everyone who PM'd me yesterday, :A
you really did help me to get a grip and to make sure I ask the right questions about my RA.
Painkillers are working but I am feeling very laid back - hence the smilies!
Doing everything in slo-mo but focussing on money today so shall work through Martin's '25% payrise advice' as I am in a 'if life gives you lemons, make lemonade' sort of mood: would be wearing my pinnie if I could manage to do it up!
Off to pigsback now to try the comps.
Have a great OS day.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Pen Pen Haribo said Glasgow  Not that I"m being pedantic or anything.
