Os Thursday 4th October 2007

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 4th October. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Hola - Buenas Dias

My excuse is that it is 6.48 here and DH is snoring again!!!

Had a good solid 6 hours and can cope with that no probs. Internet wouldn't connect last night, but has this morning so just read yesterday's thread.

If not too late have a great holiday Kyle.

Saw some of Pamplona yesterday, in between the showers, though the journey through the Pyranees was dry and it was sunny at the top, turned one corner and a loads of GOATS were just laid sunning in the road. I have piccys will sort them later, beautiful scenary and well kept land and buildings. The forecast isnt great for today for where were heading, so think it will be get on the road and get to our house. We have never been hotel fans, and we have had 4 nights in them, and our own bed is sounding very appealling.:o

((Luxor)) I know exactly what you mean that is my thought process too, I don't do sympathy (give it or handle it). DS says if you want it fixing see Mum, if you want sympathy go next door to Aunty June!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

:grouphug: To all of you, we have quite a few at the moment who need them.:grouphug:

AMIE Where are you? - Its not like you not to answer PM's.

Have a great day, catch you tomorrow.

Morning. So computer on holiday eh? I might log in a few times when I am in the usa later in the year.
A day off for me, although I will be working on the house. I spent all day on the windows yesterday. It took even longer as I found some rotten bits that had to be cut out and replaced. I would have liked plastic, but it was not possible. Today I think will be some other jobs around and finish the painting of the new wood in the windows.
Got my son a great bargain yesterday, 28 inch TV second hand from the local paper, what a deal. When I picked it up it was obvious that they had just had a new plasma delivered and this was cluttering up the place. He is well happy. Play Station in 28 inch.
Well a good morning to everyone

Kyle :hello: Have a great holiday. I hope the flight's enjoyable. ;):D

    Goodmorning everyone,

Bit of a hotty here today. Went to Mass this morning on the island and managed to offload 3 lettuces so decided I could have a break from the lettuce soup production line. Made a loaf of bread, cereal & a lemon drizzle cake which I've had a slice of with my arv cuppa. Very nice indeed. :D

Cleaned the house & caught up with ironing. XDIL txt me to say DGS did his first No 2 in the potty. :T :D I thought you'd all want me to share that bit of info. He arrives here tomorrow. I"m making a batch of Anzacs in the morning because he loves them. :p

Mrs Mix Hope the morning isn't too bad for you.
N9eav We picked up a fantastic lounge suite when we were first married similiar to you situation. The lady got new curtains & the suite didn't suit the room anymore. Bargain. :D

Hope you all have a lovely day. Byeeeeeeeee

Buenas dias, DONNYGAL, morning N9EAV and all who follow. AMIE - are you OK?
I still haven't caught up with all the threads for the last couple of days so (((hugs))) to all in need. It seems quite a few on here are suffering at the moment.

Well, I feel better this morning but I woke up yesterday feeling better and by teatime I felt worse. I think this cold is playing games with me. Still, onwards and upwards, as they say. I must do some shopping today - I've just ambled slowly up to the local Somerfield Express for the last couple of days, which is proving non-OS.

I had every intention yesterday of clearing my pile of paperwork but, in the end, I just couldn't be bothered; today, I really do mean to tackle it. I also have another pile of ironing developing so may try and get that done today while I watch the Jamie Oliver programme that I recorded the other evening.

I am looking forward to the start of Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday - it's one of my favourite programmes and every year I try and persuade DH to join dancing classes with me and every year he refuses! I may have to ask Colin Firth instead!

Oh well, off for a shower. Will catch up later. Hope everyone has a good day.

Loads of you posted while I was typing!

KYLE - have a great time!

MRSMIX - best of luck at the hospital.

    AUSSIE enjoy DGS's visit!

    Morning

Buenos dias Donny, I am impressed you are still online whilst on holiday. We go to Florida on Saturday and I tried to persuade DH to take the laptop, but he said no.

Mrs Mix, hope your hospital visit goes OK

Kyle, have a fantastic holiday, we're not doing the parks this year, but they are great fun, and wasted on the kids ;)

Work again today, so probably fish and chips from the chippie later, and we had a Chinese last night - oh well, I'm on wind-down.

Have a good day everyone, and :grouphug: to anyone who needs one x

Of to work for me, lodgers happy, she's singing at the top of her voice, at least I recognise this one, it's 'If tomorrow never comes', bit of a bu**er though, it means I'll be singing it all day now, lol.
