I didn’t buy a Chinese (baby steps!) but I did buy a pack of cheese and onion crisps for 55p to put in my sandwiches
so I saved myself over £5.
I also took my shoes back so am waiting for £12.99 to be refunded.0 -
I conquered the gym this evening :j also saving £9 by not going ice skating next Thursday as it’s gym day.
I was meant to be going out to see a friend who I haven’t seen in 5 years but had to cancel as I now have to go see some family. Would have spent £10/£15 at lunch so I’m saving a bit of money by only having to pay for bus fare!
Going for the £5 main voucher at lunch tomorrow rather than two courses for £10.95. Should come to £7.50 with a soft drink
I need to buy a few items for our work Christmas party on Tuesday. I’ll just chuck a couple of quids worth into the shopping on Saturday.0 -
Just popping by to say Hi, all seems to be going well with you, hope it continues to go that way.Debt Free Stage 1 - Completed 27/08/2020
Debt Free Stage 2 - Completed 50/181 Payments0 -
Hi Florence!
thanks for popping in to say hi.
At pizza express and they cannot take both vouchers, as the majority want 2 for £10.95 had to go for that so lunch will now be: £13.45.
My friend also wants to go out for a drink this evening, will suggest going somewhere low-key and cheap..0 -
My manager paid for lunch so I saved myself the money! :j
When I go out with my friend tonight I will use the money in my purse (£10) to fund that.
The only other thing I’ll need to pay for is dinner on Tuesday as I’m out the house from 7am until 10:30pm!0 -
We went shopping tonight. It costs £68.78p but we brought a lot of fish and chicken for our dinners and lunches.
We should have enough food until the 27th December, especially as we aren’t in Christmas Eve until Boxing Day evening. The food may last longer, but we’ll see. We still have £50 in the food budget from this month.0 -
I found a £5 in the club bathroom so I picked it up.. as you do!
Just gotta get a taxi home at some point!0 -
Used the £5 I found to get a taxi home last night
I may have also had a mcdonald’s burger at 1:30am (as you do when you’ve had alcohol!)
We only have two drinks, which were two for one. So it cost me £9.50 as cocktails are bloody expensive.
Just checked my account and the PA money went over and the refund for shoes went in. I now have £127.20 in my small savings account. I also have some cash left and some on my debit card.
We get paid on Thursday and my only money plans for the rest of this month are on lunch with friends on Friday and then a meal with OH. I’ve explained to them that I’m having a full meal at 5pm so won’t require a full lunch!!0 -
Been a nice day. Had a lovely lie in, got the bus over to my parents (day ticket for £4.20), went to the gym for an hour, came home and had some relaxing time.
Plans for the week:
- gym and work on Monday
- early work start, late work finish, dinner and football on Tuesday
- work, gym, work, football on Wednesday
- work, gym on Thursday
- work half day, lunch, dinner, cinema on Friday
- visit grandma/grandad, football on Saturday
- visit parents, travel to in-laws and Xmas Eve dinner on Sunday
- Christmas Day!!
I also have £20 in £1 coins to get changed so the money can go into my savings and then need to sort out my money spreadsheet.0 -
Monday has been conquered! :j it’s felt like such a long day. 4 days of work then I’m off for 5 days!
I need to set myself a target for next year of less spending on food/snacks whilst at work. I hate to think the amount of money I’ve spent on extra drinks/snacks whilst at work!0
