  • One of my eyes is glued shut, I had 4 hours and 27 minutes sleep according to my Fitbit!

I had a wonderful time at the Christmas party. I spent £9.50 on the meal, £1.50 on a coke, £8.50 on two cocktails and £7 to get a taxi home.

The OH is going to pop Aldi and get some snack goods to make up me paying for the taxi (fancy Aldi pizza for £2 seems so good right now!!!)
  • Spent £5 on my part of the Chinese I had at my parents

Looks like an early night!! I am super tired, the lack of sleep is getting to me.

    Plans for tomorrow are:
    - gym
    - food shopping
    - present wrapping
  • The snow has finally hit the Midlands. We were meant to be going shopping today at Asda but due to the snow it forces my OH to walk to Aldi and shop (he may like it!!!)

Looks like I’ll get my presents wrapped today as the snow is quite heavy to really do too much! It should be a NSD for me other than the allocated shopping money :D
  • Success at shopping, we got a full shop for £41 and I have convinced my OH to try it for the rest of the month! :D

I’ve also wrapped up half my Christmas presents and will do the rest next week. I also skipped the gym :p

Other than that, I moved across £5.03 into my savings from my current account. I normally just sweep off the small pence but sending over 3p felt weird!
  • I managed to make to the gym this morning for 6:30.. and then in work by 8:30. At least the snow is melting :D

Me and my OH are arguing about a Christmas tree. We have an old one we could use from last year which sits on a table but my OH wanted to buy a giant one for £55!!! I’ve put my foot down and said that the small one is fine but if he wishes to buy a big one I won’t be contributing to the cost!!
  • Working from home for the rest of the day as I got sent home from work as I'm feeling rough! I really hope I'm not coming down with the cold/sore throat my work colleagues had.

Today will be a NSD as I don't plan on leaving the flat now I'm in it! :D

Still no luck on PA. I have £6.19 balance and £3.20 clearing - I won't clear it if the balance is less than £10.
  • Also, me and some of my friends who go out have all had a talk about how expensive things can get over December/January so we have all been honest and said that we may have to cut back on doing big/expensive things and I even managed to say no to some things.

Two of my friends, one who has just purchased her first home and one who is saving have also had a talk and said we like each others company but must try and do cheaper/ things for free! :p

One of my work dinners got cancelled this week too so I'll save myself about £10! I'm hoping I'll be able to use my 02 priority app for the one on Friday and only spend £7!
  • Spent £9.70 in M&S today and feel incredibly guilty about the whole thing! This came from my debit card and I also paid back the £17 I owed my OH who used his amazon prime account so I didn't have to pay for P&P.

I'm really bad at keeping money in my spending wallets, I tend to take money out but then the change stays in my purse and I then use the change whilst at work... I think going forward I need a work fund and just keep small change at work to use throughout the month.

Saying that I have enough in my wallets to get me through until payday and I have some on my debit card still and a small amount in savings (£107.38 - most from sweeping the balance to an even number!)

I will hopefully go beyond payday by not touching the new pay and nothing has been spent on the credit card. We don't have any plans between Christmas and New Year!

I have to work for two days between Christmas and New Year so will be at work followed by gym or gym followed by work!
  • I need to get some mojo back, spending money on food for lunch when we have bread and pasta at home is crazy (£3 on lunch) :o

Meeting some friends after work. I was meant to have three social dinners this week for Christmas but this has been reduced to one (where my meal should be £7.50 as I have a voucher!) so I have a little bit of money left in the social pot tonight :)

Aiming for a NSD tomorrow and Sunday and then budgeted spends on Friday and Saturday (football and food shopping)

I also just realised I need to take some shoes back (£12) and will get money for a football ticket (£13)
  • I’m craving a Chinese and it’s only lunch time :o I have eaten my crisps and will remind myself the sandwich is in the work fridge!!!!

I’m at work but need to hit the town centre to take my shoes back so will get £12.99 onto my debit card - I’m going to transfer half of that to my savings! Otherwise, knowing me, I will spend it on food.

Last night I spent £6.15 on a drink and some garlic bread at the pub. My friend brought nachos which she paid for and wanted me to eat half.

Also requested the £7.19 in my PA account to my paypal, I’m going to put that in savings too.
