Reporting in another 5 NSD's since last Saturday.
Had a spend last Sunday as needed packed lunch stuff - that was the last of my money gone.
Got paid on Thurs and spent yesterday - have stocked up on dried fruit and nuts ready to make my own trail mix (I usually buy them ready made from shops but hate raisins so I take all those out so really just wasting my money).
I am up to 16 NSD's now - I wonder if I can get anymore before Monday??
Can't remember if I offered to run August or not but I am happy to if no one else has a burning desire?0 -
Morning everyone,
Been AWOL the last 10 days, have made a bit of progress on my goals as follows:
Have 12 NSDs - had NSDs on Mon/Tue/Wed and am now up to 7. Am back at work now and will start to find NSDs easier to come by as I take lunch/snacks/drinks with me and don't have time to pop to the shops on these days.
Buy new clothes etc for return to work – budget £150 - picked up a shirt dress for £10 in Primark bringing my spends to £113.46.
Take part in the £10 a day challenge – target is £155 - now up to £157.25 so target has been reached.
Eager_Elephant thanks for offering to run next months challenge.VSPC 2019 #10 - £168.80/£100 VSPC 2020 #4 - £262.03/£200 VSPC 2021 #9 - £242.88/£200 VSPC 2022 #3 - £188.03/£200 VSPC 2023 #7 - £0/£2000 -

Sorry I've been awol - been poorly.
Thursday was a NSD but yesterday was not. Hopefully today will be - I've had a wedding makeup trial but that has come out of the wedding fund budget so I do not count that. Loving the makeup though- really fresh and natural but great coverage (I suffer from hormonal acne so my skin can look pretty bad at times!).
So - NSD currently at 12/14February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00

Thank you, I am. A bit sniffly still but much better.
Today will be a NSD - not left the house yet! Tomorrow won't be as I've visiting my mother and have to grab a quick birthday present on the way. That should be it for spends though.
I can see my pay in my account a bit early, it's there, but I don't think it's cleared yet. I shall sort out my budget for August tonight - I need to ring national Trust as we both have separate memberships which come out next month but could really do with changing it to couple membership as will be cheaper.February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00

Today I am grateful for not getting too wet when out and about, for good bus connections (8 buses caught within a 3 hour time frame), for bumping into some friends, for dd avidly reading, for time to cut out felt items to sew up, for dd loving tree climbing, for a dry place that is home, for clean bed linen, for a good book,NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Bit of a wet one here today, I don't mind thou as I love the rain.
Braved town on a Sat to drop a CV into the local run shop, they are looking for weekend workers so I thought it would be an interesting change from the office. Not fussed about the money or a career change etc, just looking for something fun and different as an extra. Pre-warned the boss yesterday (incase she gets a reference request) and she panicked thinking I was leaving. Nice to know I'll cause a stir if I ever do go
Got home and played a little Skyrim, then I got frustrated with being indoors, I got my wellys and waterproofs out and took a stoll thru the park to gather some blackberrys. There are still a few red ones on the bushes, so I should be able to gather another haul in a week or so. An apple and blackberry pie is in my future.
YOU If you don't like it, change it. Weight & Fitness.Long strolls today, and a ymmy stirfry for tea. I have, however, make a banana bread today. Purely to use up store cupboard ingredients. I don't think it will last long
FRUGAL The Frugalwoods are having another Uber Frugal Month Challenge I've never really been one for material possessions and keeping up with the Jones etc. I have a couple of gadgets, fitbit, gps running watch, kindle etc. But it's all stuff I use and none of it was a spontanous purchase.
USE what you have. Banana bread made from stuff we had lying in the store cupboard. I spooned some cocoa powder in too, as it's too bitter for hot choc. Came out really well.
LOOK after you. Splashed in some puddles
UNLESS you have a specific reason you should avoid takeaways etc Avoided.
YOU will aim for 16 NO Spend Days 19/20 Food shop done today, so stuck on 19. Tomorrow and Monday should definately be NSDs
1) Rain!
2) Puddles!
3) Blackberries
