    Today I am grateful for
dd finishing for the summer, for doing shred #16, for mowing the front before the rain kicks in, for finding a pack of 5 bars of 85% choc (ran out a few days ago but am waiting until the shopping list is longer than just 'chocolate'!), for seeing dd's books from school and realising just how much progress she is making, for dd loving the 99p dance leggings I bought her, for my knitting, and for my sewing, for getting some school prep done in advance for next year, for being invited over by a mum from dd's school to see her new baby (he was 8 weeks prem, so is only a couple of weeks old in real terms now.)

Thank you for the quote, mothernerd.

Met up with an old work colleague/friend for a good gossip after work so spent £5 on soft drinks in the pub. Some kind person smashed into my car while it was parked outside work today and then drove off  There's a huge dent in the bumper which OH is currently pushing out as best he can, but it'll need replacing and painting at some point *sigh* it's happened multiple times at work, somewhat negates the point of me buying a more economical car if I keep having to spend money fixing other people's damage!

On the plus side, I resisted the urge to have a beer and the damage is superficial and doesn't need immediate attention. Hope you all enjoy your Friday evenings!

Not managed to post for a few days but I've just had 3 NSDs in a row taking me to 11/16 :D. Tomorrow definitely will be a spend day as we're going to a BBQ and also need to go food shopping.

Today I'm grateful for a nice day after yesterday's rain, earning some extra cash and getting a wee lie in this morning.

Hugs Toni'sfriend, Calling and anyone else who wants one. I've had a quiet day, felt frustrated at first but then realised that the room I am in is in need of attention. Did some tidying, put cream cleaner round the bath and stuff down the toilet (couldn't bend down at that point so thought the cleaning stuff could start the job - have been back and scrubbed the bath in two stages), slept for a bit and done more general crafting.

Ventured out at 4.15pm to take some books to the charity bin in the library. Took the list in case I felt okay to go further. Sat in the library for five minutes, sat on the bench on the far side of the square, then on to pound emporium and a charity shop. Thought I would have to go into McD's  as had a sudden need for the loo.

Walked home. By the time I reached the far side of the car park I would have settled for making it as far as the house or even just the yard but I power walked (felt safer than running) and made it all the way. Going to give myself a gold star for that one.

Went back out and have picked up 5 forks (gave a donation for the first as the woman in the charity shop said I could have it), the bulb I need for my bedside light (really not safe to do intricate sewing without it) and the larger cutlery tray mum wanted. Did buy some wooden letters (reduced to 19p each) but resisted a lovely jewellery box, wellingtons which I need and a few other charity shop goodies.

Decided I will restart the 'things I am going to buy' list but delay buying them for a while. Includes printer (but that's a business need), a radio, a strong washing line (will double up or even plait existing ones for now), wellingtons. Will institute some sort of reward scheme. Think I have been too spendy in recent month and want to pay for necessary repairs (roof still outstanding, bathroom leak needs attention - will ask Mr and Mrs Builder when they get to mum's and something needs doing with my front window, probably the frame not the actual window).

For Friday I am grateful for the determination not to make an exhibition of myself in front of the cameras (perils of living in the town centre, I'm on CCTV before I get out of my street, whichever way I go), for easy food from the fridge and freezer, for finding what I needed easily and at good prices.

Okay just found two more quotes (not very inspirational, but true).

Some days the best you can do is NOT SH*T YOUR PANTS in public.

I'm not an early bird or a night owl. I am some form of permanently exhausted pigeon.

Oh, Mothernerd. I love the "exhausted pigeon" - it's definitely how I feel sometimes.
On the other hand we're both up early this morning and feeling positive. When I was feeling a bit down last night the boy said to me "You're not responsible for the whole world. Let them sort their lives out themselves and get on with enjoying yours" and you know what? He's right.
So today another long walk to buy some more of that delicious bread from Lidl. Won't be able to buy anything else as the freezer is full so that's a good thing.
Hope you're feeling better today, Calling. Hugs lcc86 - what an awful thing for someone to do.
    Haxe a good weekend, everyone.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

Toni'sfriend - I'm glad you are feeling more positive about yesterday.
There could be any number of reasons they have decided now is the time to not meet up and as your son says that is there problem and not yours.
You can any be the friend that you have always been and although you don't condone what your OH did you are his partner and have to stand by him.

I hope you can all be friends again in the future and maybe have holidays together again - will you and C still be going on the holidays?

Reporting in some more NSD's for last week - have managed a further 5 since I posted last Saturday.

Last Saturday was a spend day as got fresh food and packed lunch for DS, also had a spend day on Tues as needed to get packed lunch stuff for DD who was off on various activities with the school.

So I have 11 NSD's so far - hoping to reach target of 16 as I am skinter than a skint thing so cant buy anything even if I wanted to (although do have enough for more packed lunch stuff for DS for the coming week)

Thanks for all the quotes mothernerd.

I do actually have a brand new unopened printer here if you want it - it came free with my new computer but I like my old one. Its a HP one with scanner also - I think Argos have it for about £25 so its not an expensive one but I could get it couriered if you would like it for free as it has just been sitting in my bedroom since February ( I think)
