Quick post from me...what a long day, didn't get in until 11pm. But turned out to be a good day, bad news I did spend money.,
I got a friend some flowers who is having a tough time, was very lucky as hunting around in a much bigger m&s store than I am used to I got roasties for 50p, 3 packs of Turkey steaks down from £4 to £1 all tucked up in the freezer, mini naans for 12p and a pack of raspberries for 50p. Also got an extra 20% off using my sparks card.
The freezer is very crammed so my plan is to live out of the freezer for the next 2 weeks, just cat food to buy now and any snacky bits for DD.
Hope everyone has had a good day x

Morning :) I typed out a post yesterday but got distracted so never posted it!

Ziggy I had something similar for years when I was younger. It meant I had to have more frequent tests but nothing every came of it and it cleared by itself. Hope yours follows a similar (but quicker!) route x

foxgloves sorry to hear the op is now back on the table x

Yesterday I bought my first Christmas present! I got a football for one of the kid's coming to the party but it if you got 2 you got them for £3 each instead of £4 so I got one for my godson :money:

Today is the big party day so I will be [STRIKE]wrapping prizes[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]cooking a load of food [/STRIKE](have just put the oven on to start!)just have 1 oven load left to do, sandwiches to make and am currently cooking butter beans for a greek dish I do that is simple, delish and vegan :-) and am currently cooking new pots for potato salad :D, cleaning the house. Oh needs to fashion something to hang the pinata on.

Other than prep and then party a mellow day I hope! Madam gets beyond excited when there's a party on the horizon! She was so cute last night and wanted to go to bed early so she would wake up and it will be her party! :A

    Usual bags/clothes ready for tomorrow.

Will wrap madam's presents for her birthday.

hang up washing and do another load.

    Hi everyone

Sounds like an exciting day DNMS - hope you all have a lovely time :)

I didn't do well yesterday on our new strict money regime - ended up going to the pub for dinner and drinks. The fun money fund is dwindling already and it's only 2nd July!!

    Here's what else:
    - WM on quick wash
    - Tidy and hoover round - still not got a cleaner ;)
    - Cut grass - still not got a gardener ;)
    - Sort a packed lunch for tomorrow!!
    - Bit of yoga and meditation
    - Dog walk - went to a great place yesterday so don't know if I can beat it :)
    - Put something on my 0% spending card and paid the same amount off the CC whose 0% deal ends in November (my chance at doing a 'balance transfer' sans fees :))

    Happy Sunday everyone

    Morning all :hello:

Another early start here so we're up and at 'em already. 1 bed stripped, wash on in a minute. Will hang out. Made Yorkshire puds with milk that went OOD yesterday, rest will get made into a cheese sauce - I've got some mince out and I'll make a lasagne later whilst things are cooking for roast. Will freeze half yorkies which will be 2 meals for smalls after school with something else.

    Other things:
Go to fruit farm and do some picking with smalls :T
Pop to sm - small list - already meal planned from freezer for week so just a bit of fresh stuff
Going to dig up some potatoes and see if they're ready - if so, eat with roast later :T
Feed tomatoes if I can find tomato food dad gave me last year
Finish mammoth homework project with DD
    Make hummus
Read some more of mrs FW - I've signed up for the challenge for July. 1 day in, I'm doing ok :o
Got a pack of random tomato sauce out of freezer that came with a meat box ages ago, will chuck in lasagne
Make crumble from home grown rhubarb
Get ready for back at school/ work tomorrow (boo!) I've thoroughly enjoyed my week off and got so much done, might plan another for autumn so I can do similar before winter sets in and get myself straight. Definitely feel more in control of things.

Enjoy the party determined happy birthday to your DGD

    Good morning all,

Hope everyone is well. Life is busy at the moment but posting when I can. Operation downsize is in full flow. Following money saving jobs
-The new lights have been fitted in the kitchen and the ceiling painted white. All done for about £50 as I have a very clever electrician DH.

-any washing, washed and dried outside.
-shower and let hair dry naturally.
Need to visit the mum's today and drop youngest off back in Leeds, only 10 days until he goes to Australia for a year:eek:

    Morning everyone
DNMS the party sounds like it is going to be brilliant, I bet madam will have the best time. First Christmas present as well......now ur talking my language:T
LaE that sounds like me with my fun money. In am meeting yesterday I treated myself to a cake, despite being well prepared with everything else.
    Flagging a bit today.
Have to take DD to training.......an 8 hour round trip:eek:but she is preparing for some high levels competitions coming up.....to think I would never have put her down as someone doing sports, she was such a lazy toddler so the deal was that she could watch tv but had to balance it with an activity that required her moving off her bum:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
It took the testing out of several sports and several changes along the way but she has always done sports since then.
Have snacks to take with us and will make up my trusty flask again.
As a treat for me I have some codes for when we stop along the way for some chicken nuggets, but have a also packed a lunch box to work around my chicken nuggets:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Have updated my spends book over breakfast and just off to get ready.
Have a great day everyone x

DNMS, the party sounds fun, happy birthday to the fellow Cancerian :)

La E, I've done the same in the past to avoid the 3% transfer fee!

HappyKitties, I think I need to hand you my YS crown :rotfl:

Morning all, my sleep pattern is all over the place at the moment (I napped until 10pm!) but managed to get to sleep for a few hours from 4am. Must stay awake today!

I've just fed all the veggies with tomato food, it's all very hit and miss with the measuring but they all seem to be doing okay.

I got another 6 wild strawberry plants reduced to 50p from the dead and dying section at the garden centre yesterday, I gave them a good soaking in a spare washing up bowl and they look as healthy as anything this morning.

They are part of operation move around, when I pick up the planter in the week I'm going to move the salvia which had a 50% mortality rate where they are into that and put the wild strawberries where they are instead (wooden window boxes slotted between the garden store wall and my pallet decking.) The ones I had dotted between the salvia are going great guns there so I may as well work with nature rather than against it!

I need to wash my kitchen floor today ready for the dishwasher to be installed tomorrow. There's a little bit of tidying of the kitchen table to be done but I think I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm going to sort my mum's computer this afternoon as I didn't do it yesterday.

Lunch is going to be cheese and onion sandwiches, we have everything in for that and dinner tonight will be batch-cooked moussaka from the freezer, I will need to buy some Greek salad and a nice baguette to go with that though.

Read some more of the Jo Nesbo I started in the wee small hours.

Have a lovely day all :)

    Afternoon all :)
Happy birthday to your GD, DNMS, hope you all enjoy the party :D
Lazy Sunday here, got up early, walked dog, and went to a couple of car boot sales, didn't buy much, a toy for GD, some nice soaps, some tea, coffee, etc cannisters for our camper van, and a couple of things to sell on later in the year :)

Popped over to the corner shop for some bread, milk and diet lemonade, as I cba to go to the supermarket. More expensive, and boring bread, but no temptation to buy other things either!

Watered the things that needed it in the garden.
    Dinner will be from stores
Still have the fridge to sort out and paperwork to do, neither of which got done yesterday :o
