What does OP mean? And I am fully comp I would never admit to something I don't believe I'm in the right for, I believe 100% I am in the right he pulled across me to try and zoom past me we will see anyway pointless going round circles now , I might get Dave from the insurance who says I'm in the right or might get Liam who says I'm in the wrong , so fingers crossed I get Dave it's just a waiting game now I am getting a courtesy car tomorrow I know that's not cheap considering the car I will be getting will be around £150 a day

I think I will be a lot more cautious and be more aware they say it takes something to happen to be aware of these things

And that's the whole point. It happens to us all as drivers - usually it is a near miss (learn from them...), if you are unlucky, contact.

The single greatest skill I can instil in a learner is the ability to identify, analyse and rectify mistakes - it is the most important driving skill. I still make mistakes, and each time I beat myself up and ask myself questions. Why was I in that position? Why didn't I see that car? I thought he might do that. so why didn't I act earlier? The list goes on.

By acknowledging you'll be more cautious and aware next time, you are admitting that you could have been more defensive today (which we all knew already). Many multi-vehicle accidents will have drivers who are deemed either legally and/or insurance-wise not to be at fault in any way. In just about every case, the not at fault driver could have, with appropriate care and skill, avoided the accident.

If you were driving me (whether in my dual controlled car, or your own vehicle) on an advanced driving session, I can promise you we almost certainly wouldn't have hit that car... Wouldn't be the first time a client has said something like 'how on earth did you know he would do that?' It isn't a magic trick, simply awareness, anticipation, a total lack of trust of everyone else on the road, and above all, a hell of a lot of practice.

Am I invulnerable? Absolutely not, but I do reduce my risk levels far below those of the 'average' driver, which has, so far, stood my in good stead. And pretty much every time I train experienced drivers, the very first thing I'll suggest is 'SLOW DOWN!'. The surest mark of a genuinely advanced driver, is just how slow they are around hazards, and how quick they are in between them (and how smoothly they transition between the two).

Go with them. The other guy has stuck his hand up and told them "entirely my fault". You have no direct contract with his insurer, so a bit more freedom when it comes to getting the work done properly.

B'sides, your insurer will just hand it to the credit-hire "accident management" slugs, and put the costs up for everybody. The more that gets spent, the more everybody's premiums go up.

Ask them to put new panels ,in place of repairing existing , get a proper job done.Take photographs of all minor chips and get them repaired , as a condition of going with them .Get it in writing.

They missed a few chips on my repair.

They will go for cheap job , if you don't insist.

The only way this gets contested is if 3rd party claims you were indicating right.... Which you should not have been.

Also take photographs of other dents and scratches on other sides , just in case it comes back after repairs , with damage in garage.
