Weirdly I find a cup of tea when I am struggling to sleep does help but then I have a weird body where the normal pre bedtime things that are suggested have the opposite effect on me.
Blue screens, lots of information being stuffed into my brain and tea helps me to go to sleep, relaxation, gentle lights, a bath etc do not. Strangely someone talking to me in the minutes leading up to me turning my light off has the same impact as the relaxation stuff as it takes my brain's attention off the information in my head and makes some space and I have to start again and stimulate it until it is full again.
Took a few years of sleepless nights for my parents to work it all out, they found out purely by accident by giving up one night, I picked up a book, started reading, loaded up on information and fell asleep. It's why I had such an advanced reading age by the time I started school....We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

I would have expected some Eurovision comment at least.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I listened to the winning Eurovision entry for a few seconds, skipped a bit, and listened to a few seconds more. Not really a proper listen, I know, but I didn't feel inclined to listen to any more. And that's the winning song. How bad must the rest be?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

I thought Madonna was, er, not the best. I also don't think we deserved to be right at the bottom and I really didn't like Italy's one but then that kind of music has never really been my cup of tea.
In other news, Josh has handed in his dissertation, has one more assignment left before he finishes but doesn't want to come home as his social life is there and he also doesn't want to bother with his graduation ceremony due to cost, hassle factor and never really gelling with others in his current year group. He also received amazing feedback from one of his lecturers on the final year performance, where in typical Josh fashion, he left it until the last year to really show what he was capable of musically...just as he had done at high school!
Joe had a frustrating module, ending up just 0.3 percent short of a first in it! We're currently working on the how to get him home conundrum, James and GF have offered but they have a micra…..We made it!
