I have asked a question in the other place.....

    Thanks in advance.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

There is a survey board on the forum if he wants more replies.

    ...

Could be the PRV although no way that should have a discharge inside directly over the sink as in theory it could release high pressure scalding steam....what does the pressure gauge look like, should be safely I the green, lower when the boiler is off, higher when it is on but still in the green.
    I think....

    It's here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=255

Though if you can't find it when looking for it, I'm not optimistic of the number of people who it attracts.

It is within the MSE rules to link to your post in there, so let us know when you have put up the post and I can send traffic your way.

The boiler pressure relief valve MUST discharge outside the house, so something is very wrong. Hot water from the boiler is a serious danger.

Is there someone who could have a look at this, as it's quite worrying? The service engineer, maybe. If it were me, and I were sure this is from the boiler, I would turn it off completely right now.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

PN, who not post on the In My Home board, plenty of expert [STRIKE]plumbers[/STRIKE] gas safe engineers on there.

Or even on the DIYnot forum here.

I thought my kitchen tap washer was leaking, turned out the flat roof just above it was leaking; at least it is dripping straight into the sink.

Years ago there was a suspicious water mark on the upstairs ceiling, so I called out British Gas (we had cover), Big guy crawled into the loft space, couldn't see where the leak was coming from, stood up and felt drops of water on his head - the leak was in the roof!

Because ... you end up getting tied up in knots, with "alpha men" telling you "it's easy ... just tweak this, pull that...." I don't even like being in the same room as a boiler :)

And then there's the language... the language of accurately describing what you mean.

Yes, but you are anonymous. No one is going to recognise you in the street.
