PN, does it do it if you run hot water in the bathroom?PasturesNew wrote: »Not sure what that means in its entirety .... but the simple fact is if I am running hot water in the bathroom it is because I am taking a bath. I am therefore never simultaneously doing the washing up

Well, my thought was that it appears to be more related to the boiler creating hot water, either for heating or the kitchen tap, therefore I was wondering if the bathroom hot tap(s) also cause it since those are also creating a demand for hot water.
I'm not convinced that, unless there is something very odd with the way it was plumbed in, tipping water down the sink is connected to the issue.0 -

Anyway, I'm delighted Pastures is getting it looked at.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Property auction at noon today. I'm out unfortunately, if anyone is watching it and catches the price of #20, I'm very curious what it fetches.
Zoopla reckons £1.653m, but that will be inflated by properties nearby having being done up and sold on over the years, whereas this one is in a relatively untouched state. Also someone has plugged the details into zoopla which always inflates their estimate.
Was on the market for £1.4m in 2014 but didn't sell.
I started a thread in case anyone else is watching forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?p=75452259
Unusual for something that isn't a wreck to go for auction although I notice there are very few interior photos.
I thought detached houses in your part of the world would be worth more than that tbh.I think....0 -

Every property is worth what it is .... and, who knows, round the corner might be "a better spot" at double the price. That particular plot's near several corners and a petrol station, so not really "highly sought after"
Maybe SC lives.... round the corner, where prices are double...
Location's funny isn't it. My house "over the main road" would be £20k less. My house "round the corner ON the main road" would be £20k more. My house "down the road 1/4 of a mile" would be £80k more.0 -

Just had a guy fitting a new garage door - he said in his part of the world (the town the swear filter doesn't like)our house would be worth about 200k - doubt you would be able to build it for that....I think....0 -

A pre-built house might be £200k .... if you couldn't build it for that you'd find nobody is building them like that, there, at that price
When you see as many places for sale as I've seen in the last four months, it's staggering the tight nooks and crannies they're plugged into now! I've seen little bungalows, squeezed into a plot, advertising "south facing garden" - and when you look it's just 4 paving slabs deep ... so the sun would rarely make it over next door's 6' fence in any case!
Here's the one going to auction ... no details available on there and the agents have removed the original listing so no images available online either. https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-69939613.html
Here's a google streetlink directly to it: https://goo.gl/maps/42sTf76p53n
If I'd had the money to buy it, I'd have certainly given it a viewing.... I'd have expected to dismiss it as it really needed "skills to rejig it", but worth viewing....0 -
Missed the auction, it was withdrawn, but didn't watch/listen so no idea what happened.
Quite a lot are unsold or withdrawn.....0 -
