Is there anything that would make it safer for you to use the over bath shower? Something like a swivel bath seat, or similar, perhaps??

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

The bath (and the bathroom) is too small to have anything like that fitted. Even fitting the rails proved an issue because of the lack of places to put them due to where the sink is placed and the available floor space. Just for an example, the towel rail attached to the door is also used as one of my rails to get to the next rail and so on, it's almost like a rock wall with hand holds :rotfl:

They looked at all things like that 4 years ago and nothing suited/would fit.

I think that is what is so frustrating, they tell me they can't do things because of the space rather than what can be done/adjusted and then just leave me to it as they have done their bit and in their minds, passed me on.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

    How infuriating.

Anyway, should you be able to find something that would help you, even if it is not everything that "they" think you should have, then I will start a GoFundMe page to raise money for whatever it is that you think would be useful despite the lack of space, and I'll put in the first twenty quid. I'm sure other NP would chip in a bit too.

That is a lovely thought Lydia and I am grateful. I'm not sure about a GoFundMe thing though, I'm not one for attention and airing my dirty linen in public and there are far more deserving causes than mine.

Even though my house may not be suitable, at least I do have a roof over my head and an inventive/creative mind to work out alternatives (showering at my parent's house in their lovely very low lipped, shower chair equipped, large shower is one).

Being able to shower in your own home in 2018 is a basic not a luxury.
There may be more deserving causes that yours, but we know you...sort of.

What silvercar said. Being able to take care of one's own hygiene with privacy and dignity without having to travel to a different house is a basic that none of us would want to do without. It makes us feel sad and cross that the system is currently trapping you in a situation where you can't have that despite the technology existing that would solve things for you.

I'm not suggesting that NP who have money worries or debt troubles should contribute, but there are plenty of us who are comfortably off and could easily contribute something towards this and feel the money well spent to get a happy feeling of satisfaction that our friend was able to shower comfortably, safely, in private and at home, like all the rest of us can.

Also, I understand why you don't want the whole world to know all about your showering arrangements, but I don't think GoFundMe has to be public. It can be set up, I think, so that nobody knows it's there unless they know how to find it. Details of how to find it could be posted "elsewhere", so it would be just a Nice People thing. I mentioned it because it's a way that people can safely pay money into a kitty without everyone involved having to reveal their bank account details to everyone else, and I think also so that nobody has to know how much anybody else contributed. However, if there's an alternative method for us to transfer the money to buy you a thing to make showering safe, that would be fine too.

I don't believe it - some bar steward has obviously complained about something PN's said, and she's been sent to the naughty step

    What????
How do you know that's what happened? Is it temporary or permanent? Is there anything we can do to appeal on her behalf?

PN's speshulness makes it hard for her to have FTF friends. We are, I think, an important point of contact with other human beings for her. I don't want her to lose that.
