Glad you approve my taste. :)
It's actually very similar in shape and design to the mint green one I posted a pic of "elsewhere" when I bought it back at the end of April 2017. I am not very adventurous with clothes. When I find something I like I tend to stick with it.

Also, for the sort of event where one is going to have to dress up a bit and also eat a lot, the best option is always something that looks at least a bit dressed up but is made of stretchy fabric. :D

If I had a fitness band I would certainly use it to track sleep, but tracking sleep doesn't feel like a good enough justification for shelling out for an expensive sort of fitness band, and I don't believe that cheap fitness bands provide information that's at all reliable.

I am trying, however, to record "sleep opportunity" (length of time spent lying down in the dark allowing sleep to occur if your body cooperates), on the grounds that measuring something motivates you to improve it. I am by nature a night owl, working in a job that requires me to get up 4 days a week at a time when my body clock thinks I should be sleeping. Consequently, I struggle to maintain sufficient self-discipline to make myself go to bed at what is for me and unnaturally early time. Recording sleep opportunity is so far having only a marginal influence on my "go to bed on time" efforts, but I shall keep trying.

Have I mentioned the fascinating book about sleep I read recently? If not, allow me to recommend it here. As a scientist, but not a biological one, I love the way the book's assertions are so thoroughly and explicitly grounded in reputable evidence, but the evidence is presented in a way that a non-specialist can easily understand.

I guess we are both missing a sleep opportunity right now. My excuse is I have the day off tomorrow.

I just believe the cheap bands.
    I think....

Well, I woke up at around quarter past midnight. I am still awake, and it's 02:30.

As my normal optimum wake-up time is 4am, this is getting silly now. :(

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

    That's a really nice dress, Lydia! :)
I once spotted a pretty pink suit in the window of the BHF shop near my office, and instantly thought how much it would suit a particular colleague. I told her about it, she bought it at lunchtime, and had a lovely outfit to wear to her daughter's imminent wedding, all for £10 :D

OH has a fitness band. Comes in handy when the kitten feels like attacking his wrist - the fitness band gets bitten instead and kitten looks confused :D

I must have missed you getting a kitten, ivyleaf. What's it like, how old now, pictures (pretty please!).

Love that dress Lydia! So classic, and gorgeous deep blue. Envy envy! ;)

That's what I'd call "my preferred style" in that it's got a bit of shape and that neckline.

Reality is .... it'd never fit/suit. I'd find it was:
1/ too big round the hips (by the time I'd got the size that got my boobs in
2/ far too long as they don't do a petite.

Because of 1/2 the overly large hips bit would be closer to my thighs area. It's just above the knee on the model, it'd be well below my knee!

It's a good job I've never got anywhere to go as nothing fits me + I've changed sizes and lost a lot of weight in the last 10 years, plus variances across that time...

If I had an invite I'd have to decline as I'd never find anything that suited/fit me without at least a year's notice and others helping me :)

Since the other night my waking/sleeping has been all over the place, I just didn't bother to check in before with further updates.

Given up for tonight now. Formally "got up".

Feedback: No thanks... 2-3 reasons stated. Didn't like kitchen layout, nor front approach, nor the rear/parking area.
