PN, Ive had a message back that it has to be you that asks for a reconsideration

I know that's difficult for you, I have "spoken" to you about it in the past

If you can bring yourself to do so, please do, or if not just do as others have done and just rejoin for the two weeks

all you need is a new email address

I have no idea what the point is of a ban if it's easily circumvented by creating an alias, but I'd certainly welcome a PasturesEvenNewer. :)
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

PN is not willing to PM Andrea to ask to be reinstated. She is, however, elsewhere, and appreciating NP turning up there so there's a conversation for her to join in with.

NP who already belong elsewhere, do go and have a chat there. Regular NP who don't yet belong there, PM me or viva or Sue or Maggie or Chris for further details.

Meanwhile, can we return to the previous topic? Sue, is there a piece of tech out there that would make your life easier while you wait to be moved to somewhere that can be adapted for your needs? Or do you already have everything that your house can accommodate?
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

I've been thinking about the shower problem.

My own shower has been out of action for ages due to a leak, and I can't have a bath for various reasons, so have been 'showering' gently in the bath while sitting on a stool, and using the shower attachment to the taps.

Since the latest injury to my leg, even this has proved difficult at times.

I can envisage a sort of 'pop-up' thick plastic waterproof 'bag' that you step into and pull up to your neck and fasten, then a shower hose into the 'bag', so you can wash in the bag (your arms are inside the bag). Like one of those garden refuse bags Pastures mentioned a while back, only bigger. That sort of idea, anyway.

The amount of water for a quick shower would be minimal, so, providing the 'bag' stayed fairly upright while you got out of it , there might then be a way of draining said water out.

I know this sounds crazy, but heh! I'm not an inventor or an engineer, but it would solve a lot of problems, and would be portable and take up minimal space.

I haven't seen an email as yet, not sure which one it was sent to..my old old original one which is still my current one or one which was attached to my old msn account (which I don't use).

Pyxis - I'm not sure that would work for me, one of my issues is staying upright long enough without pain to have a shower. Also stepping out without tripping over it or spewing water everywhere would be a bit..err, difficult...I'm not known for my graceful dismounts :rotfl:
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

I'll put my thinking cap on, I love out of the box thinking and is the way I have coped with/adapted stuff for thus far.

I'll give an example - I have a four poster bed, not a snazzy one I hasten to add but for a while one of the uprights helped me get out of bed, now it helps me move to the position where I can grab my crutch or into an upright position.

Or another one - my bannisters ends before the bottom of the stairs and I was at risk of tripping and falling off the last step so I started to use the shoe rack at the bottom of the stairs to aid that last little bit safely by 'falling' towards it and grabbing the edge.
