I'm in a clique! It's a clique of one! It's a unique clique!

Those make all other lampshades pail into insignificance.
Groan!Oh, and by the way, there's a hole in that bucket.
Dear Liza.
That always reminds me of this. The blurb says it was written in 1953 and updated with different names for this recording in 1974, but I don't suppose it'll ever become irrelevant.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

I always knew it as "... hole in my bucket, dear Liza, dear Liza"
This wiki page says it dates back to ~1700 and a German song, with many variations over time.

We need a couple of new lampshades for the house here in Sheringham. So, I thought of buckets, as they are under £1 at B&Q. Really nice shiny orange buckets! Then, I though that there's nothing new under the sun, so I googled to see what they look like. Quite fun, actually.
I have a lampshade for my office I made out of a big metal bowl from Ikea, but that was far, far more expensive. £5 or £10, I think. Anyway, I have "previous" for this particular style crime. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Indeed. The F&S song was a take off of that.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Lydia - Generally adapted housing association houses can't be exhanged unfortunately, certainly true for my housing association.
If in future they do adapt my house, I wouldn't then be able to exchange with another one unless that was adapted too.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Just had a call from handyman, he'll be with me Wed, not Mon, as his van's got an oil leak and it's at the garage.
Great, but a bit annoying as "my favourite car boot" also opens on Wednesdays in the summer holidays and I only found out about 2 hours ago, so I'd planned to go to that... but now can't. And, by next week, I'll have probably forgotten to go0 -
So glad you've had some good news. Sue :T
GDB I love the yellow buckets. As for the B & Q orange ones, when we went to visit relatives in Germany a few years ago, DS went with my sister-in-law to OBI, the German equivalent of B & Q, and came back with a big orange bucket with OBI on the side which was a free gift because he'd spent over a certain amount (he'd bought a light fitting to bring home for his bedroom, as we were travelling by car.) The bucket is now the repository for all the cleaning materials0
