It was absolute bliss on the roads while the match was on (and half an hour or so before)...had to pick Josh up from uni today and although it was quite busy when we set out on the return journey, after a short stop we got back on the road and we almost had the road to ourselves. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
I am not well.
I am googling tonsillitis .... to see if I've got that, or hypochondria
Neck's definitely got "little lumps" where people'd ask "are your glands up?" and yes they are... and I have a snotty cold and a sore throat ... so not sure what it is.
I think I'll live. Dr Google will know.
Ah "Enlarged and reddened tonsils with spots of white/yellow pus." - probably not, not checked, but tonsils feel OK ... can swallow with difficulty, but it's not painful/impossible to do so.
I therefore must have hypochondria. Definitely can't die of that (probably).
Ah, snotty sneezing .... there's no greater joy on a hot day is there than snotty sneezing and feeling grotty.
Had a look in the mirror - but it's difficult to see. When I stand in front of a bathroom mirror I'm so short I can only ever see my eyes... so trying to see my throat is a bit tricky. It's definitely dark red in there... I might dig around for a hand mirror later.0 -
Seen on another forum yesterday;
A friend of mine has 2 tickets in a corporate box for the England v Belgium game today.
He paid £300 each including flights but he didn’t realise when buying them months ago that it was going to be the same day as his wedding, if anyone is interested he is looking for someone to take his place.
It’s at Barrow-in-Furness Registry Office at 4pm.. The brides name is Nicola - she’s 5ft-4 about 8 stone quite pretty and a decent cook... PM for more details

I'm just getting over it, and I know several others, too.

Just the usual required...... rest, fluids, paracetamol if necessary, rest and more fluids.

It'd never occur to me to go to the GP, I just figure this stuff happens and you just wait it out unless you think you're going to die. If you think you're going to die, you're probably not, so see how you feel tomorrow.
I dragged myself up the shops and stocked up on easy food/nibbles and fizzy pop. Legs were quite wobbly beneath me, I was walking like Stephen Hawking at times I'm sure!0 -

I watched the 1966 final at a mate's house. Can't remember why, even back then I wasn't that keen of football on the telly, but I'm sort of glad I did see it.
Anyway, I walked back home immediately it ended along a main road. Saturday afternoon. Totally deserted. no cars or people! It was weird.0 -

I soon have to leave the nice, cool paradise that is my house and venture forth into the fiery furnace that is The Outside.
At least my car has aircon, although I might have melted by the time it 'warms up', and my first port of call is a brief visit to a supermarket where I shall cool off by the chiller cabinets before the last leg of my journey.
Hopefully, there will be some shade when I get there, but I can melt in seconds!
I think I must be part ice cream.(I just lurve spiders!)

My mother had great social skills. When you told her a joke like that, she'd wait patiently until the end, then laugh. My wife, on the other hand, interrupts halfway through and tells you the punchline. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Went yesterday. Hell. With people. So double Hell.
Lidl did seem to have aircon going though. Nice but a shock when you come out.
Aircon in car is a must. I never thought I'd say that 'til I had this one. The first I've had, to have it.0
