Scorchio innit! I've stepped outside, but can't bear to be in direct sunlight for more than 1 minute before starting to feel whoozy. I've had a wet face flannel on my head for the last 3 hours - I bought a pair specially to do this when it gets hot :)

No aircon in my car, I've got windows that open.

Sometimes it's nice when you're going along having open windows. I used to have a sports car, and the roof was never up, rain or shine, hot or freezing. I ran it with a tonneau.
Sat in traffic or around town though in a "normal" car, air con is really nice.

Jackmydad - what is a tonneau, please? Not something i've come across.

Pastures Sorry you're not well. Easy food and nibbles = good idea :)

chris_m That made us laugh :D

GDB you could always tell if my mother hadn't "got" a joke; she'd wait until the end, then say politely "Ha ha! Very good!"

By 'eck, it's hot lately. Still, we have electric fans, and at least the washing gets dry fast and free of charge :)

A "tonneau" or "tonneau cover" is a sort of flat cover that just fits over the cockpit in an open car to stop it getting wet inside. They have a zip down the middle between the driver and passenger seats usually, so you can keep the passenger side dry in the rain when driving.

Posh? A car with a tent on top instead of a roof?

It's cold, wet, impractical, and enormous fun!
The one I had was about the size of a Caterham 7, but made to look like an older car. A kit car.
Felt like it was doing 100mph when it was doing 30!

So a bit posh I suppose, although I'm not.

You're right. I'd not have one if I won it.... you're so exposed to idiots chucking things into the car, or spitting, or even jumping in ... or trying to grab things in the car.

It's all a bit "vulnerable" with today's knuckle-headed thinking so prevalent.

It's been a while ago. But never had any trouble like that.
I was lucky enough to have another vehicle as well, although I'd use the sports car whenever I could.
