Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Generally my parents were early adopters, but we did have one car when we lived in Australia that had running boards.

Was it a mahoosive 4 by 4 with bullbars that you mum used to take Tarquin and Henrietta the 1 mile down the Kings Road to school all the while protesting to her (Labour) MP about how bad the pollution is in London 'think of the children'....

    Don't quote, will delete....

Kids/trampolines.... but what do I know, I don't have any.

They're unsuitable for kids under 7.
Don't let more than one on at a time.
Supervise them. More accidents happen than most other activities.

Most days they're out there... aged about 2 to about 7, usually 3-4-5 at a time....

Today, suddenly, toddler/2 screaming, it's not really old enough to speak, but I think I heard the word "leg" .... boy/(6-7?) protesting "it wasn't me".

Suddenly 0 kids on the trampoline and boy seen scuttling away from the area.....

You can't have a decent game of cracky egg without at least 5 + on the trampoline....
    I think....

Funnily enough, my husband did that for his birthday last year. He wasn't 102 though.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

The thought of my mum driving... that's so funny. She has never driven. She's now in her early eighties and we are looking at getting her a provisional driving licence. Not so she can drive, but so she has a form of I'D she can carry around with her.
