Crikey it's blowing a Gale out there
I can hear the wind taking the wheels bins for a walk.

Yeah, I've just been out to stand mine up and move it to the other side of my driveway so it gets blown against the gate instead of against nothing - should stop it going over again.
I was expecting to have to go down the road looking for the last bag that went in coz it was fairly light, but it had stayed put in the bin ;)

When I looked out of the window earlier, to my surprise, all three bins are still upright! There's usually at least one that goes, with winds like that.

I suppose the wind direction was slightly different from normal.

Our house faces north-south, and the wind was more or less westerly, so it blew past the house rather than at it :)

lovely to see you posting Spirit. Sending you best wishes x

Our wheelie bins were fine until they were emptied this morning! Just came back to ours and the neighbours’ blocking my drive on the main road.

Was really quite scary here last night. Seems we’ve had all the interesting weather this last month

It's been wild here again for the last couple of hours, I checked a local webcam with wind speeds (belonging to the sailing club) and it said I'm getting wind gusts of 73mph!

Stuff (not mine) was blowing over and around .... definitely "batten down the hatches" weather.... I have had to tape my postbox flap shut with a bit of parcel tape... which was "to hand" as I did that the other week and just stuck it to a window sill "in case I need it again" and I did.

We've spent the evening at an awards ceremony at Joe's old college. He had been nominated for an award for the most accomplished level 3 year 13 student. Alas he didn't win it but he didn't feel too upset or even overlooked as the winner (in Joe's words), was amazing and deserved to win.

Think he is pretty chuffed with himself to get nominated in the first place, there are only a handful of nominations and awards each year and it was a brilliant achievement just to be nominated...works out that he was in the top 1% of students at the college across all years and all levels.

Not bad for a student written off at GCSE level....
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

    Wow! That's brilliant, Sue! :T :T

I mean, just getting nominated was quite an achievement!

    Well done that lad!

You really, really do need to write a book about what you have all achieved. It would give so much hope to so many people!

Perhaps you could tour the country giving lectures!
(I'm not joking, though I know that would be a big ask, health-wise, for you!)

Joe has now returned to uni, took a late afternoon train yesterday and took advantage of the direct Virgin train from Peterborough to Lincoln, cutting 30 minutes off his journey time. Bigger bonus was going first class for less than a tenner....he got that back in food and drink and he loves the additional comfort and space.

Hitting the road tomorrow to take Josh back, he couldn't do it via train as he has drum equipment and instruments with him.

Given the ruinous commuting costs it turns out living in St Albans is more expensive than living in London. Time to sell if you own property in that city I would say....
