Nikkster! How lovely to hear from you! We have all been thinking of you over Christmas/New Year. So glad you're getting on all right ((HUGS))

Re living in London - I'm in Bexley. No Tube here! But very thankful to have a "Boris bus pass", aka the Over 60s Oyster card.

Lived in Uxbridge for a few years -probably didn't help that they weren't happy years for other reasons but I think it's a horrible place - soulless.

Happy New Year NP! Hope it brings good times and things to you all :)

I'm doing OK. Still working full time and don't really look too ill (more like I've got terrible ideas about eyebrows and hairstyles!). I got through chemo relatively easily - no horrendous side effects. In fact I think my social life and levels of mischief increased :D Surgery is likely to be next, but maybe not for a few months. Currently trying to adjust to living with this and being aware of possible changes but not paranoid, and also working out how far ahead I can plan things eg travel in.

    Happy New Year, lovely.

Buy the shoes, drink the wine, order dessert. And make mischief :)

    Lovely to see you. :hello:
Happy New Year! Hope it brings you lots of good news and positive things.

Glad you are doing so well. Impressed that you are feeling well enough to work full time. :T
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Absolutely brilliant to see you Nikkster, made my day xx
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Joe's first uni exam today, immediate results as soon as he finished. He was paranoid he would fail miserably as a) he is not great at exam stress/noises in exam halls/different to normal setting and b) it was in a programming language that less than 2 months ago he knew absolutely nothing about and was playing catch up to his peers with.

He not only passed the exam but did so in great style.
