Hahaha! That always happens! Always!
And then we get more cold snaps in Jan and Feb!
Or perhaps Feb will be a heatwave again, like in 1998!
I'm away for a lot of February, part of that time being somewhere it very likely will be snowing.
Enjoy the heatwave that will probably come, bearing in mind I hate cold (meaning below freezing) weather and will probably therefore take it with me
Enjoy the rug Sue. I turned mine over in the lounge yesterday (had it since moving here) and the bottom is worn, so I do need to give some consideration to changing it in the near future.💙💛 💔0 -

I'm intrigued by you, CK!
The G-country etc, what brought you here, etc., your work, etc.
Just wondering if you're up to divulging stuff in another place?
Absolutely no worries if not!
Just tell me not to be a nosey-Parker!
(Am genuinely interested, though!)

I've won a rug! Local company, I generally never win anything but this time I did.
Apparently it is a luxury one in grey and quite a large one too.
The first thing I thought of was.... who is she going to roll up in it?
Am interested to know what competition you did, in order to win a rug!
It is lovely winning stuff, though, even if it isn't stuff you'd normally go for!
Years ago, I won something in a competition run by Woman's Own magazine. Can't remember what it was, now! It was such a lovely surprise!(I just lurve spiders!)

Am at the hairdressers. About to have highlights. Never had any colour before. A bit nervous!
Edit - now sitting for 40min with foils in hair.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Go Lydia! Go Lydia! Go Lydia!
A bit of colour makes such a difference!
I have four colours in mine!
(On top of whatever colour it actually is underneath! Probably mostly white by now with a bit of brunette lurking, but you can't see that! )
(Both my parents started to go grey in their late twenties, and so I couldn't escape that! Got my first grey hair at 29, and it just got worserer and worserer!)(I just lurve spiders!)

I love highlights but don't always have the patience.

Talking of hair, it's weird that hair on different parts of the body can be different colours.
Naturally, I mean!
The most obvious is men who go grey, but have a beard that's a totally different colour!
I wonder why?
Is there an evolutionary reason for it?
Possibly....there may be snow on the roof, but the beard suggests otherwise! :rotfl:
I mean, my hair at the front may be almost completely white under the colour, but my eyebrows are still brunette!
(Save two white hairs on one brow that have appeared recently!)
I saw a man yesterday on the TV I think, that had dyed his hair bright yellow, but had a full beard that was reddish brown.
That did look strange, but then no worse than a woman having a green streak down one side of her hair!
Come on men! Get dyeing! :rotfl:I love highlights but don't always have the patience.
Ooh Silver, I don't do mine! I have a lady who comes to the house! I used to dye my own hair, but I can't do highlights! Or dipped edges!(I just lurve spiders!)

Thanks for the encouragement, Pyxis.
My dad had dark brown hair - nearly black - but a reddish brown beard. When he grew it (in the 1960s) he stopped wearing ties with any red in the pattern because they clashed, and then he got them all back out and started wearing them again in the late 1980s once the beard had gone grey.
Have now had the dye rinsed out and am waiting to go downstairs for the cut. Haven't yet seen the colour.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Likewise, I won a prize draw for people who'd bought a certain brand of CDRs from a certain online retailer - I didn't even know that the purchase qualified me an entry so the first I knew was when I got an email asking where they should send the digital camera and jacket !!!!!
Luckily, I did open the email, I'd been treating most of their excessively frequent emails that didn't refer to a specific order as spam.
The camera wasn't bad, handy for the glovebox in the car, and the jacket's even better, a nice warm fleece - the CDRs, however, were a pile of poo in my CD burner, I think about 1 out of 25 actually burnt successfully :rotfl:
Mind you, I later had to block that supplier completely and swore that I'd never do any business with them again (and told them so in no uncertain terms) after I started getting mountains of spam to the email address which I only used for that one supplier.
They swore blind that their systems hadn't been hacked, which is the only way that the spammers would have got that address, so I told them to delete my account. They kept insisting that it wasn't their fault so in the end I told them to delete the Effing account (with a few Blindings and other assorted expletives mixed in) and put their entire domain on email block.0 -

My eyebrows are still brown, my beard's gone thoroughly pepper and salt - but my hair's simply gone
Mind you, I blame Vidal Sasson and Proctor & Gamble for that because it was one of their shampoos I tried - I washed, the hair went :rotfl:0
