I'm waiting for it to cool down so I can go outside and mow the lawn. Too hot right now for all that malarkey!

    Not impressed.

Asked HSBC to do something by phone earlier, this wasn't actioned. Now trying via live chat to find out why it wasn't, and to get them to do it again.

This is going to be fun I think.

    ETA: That was painless.

Right well it can be difficult to sleep with shingles because of the pain. So at around 4.30am I was having a lovely stroll round the block. Very nice time of day. Pleasant temperature and quiet. Saw the fox in the garden when I got back. Very positive experience came out of an extremely negative one. Did get about 3 1/2 hours sleep after that so still tired but more positive about getting through this. Only about another 3 to 4 weeks to go..... Off to play some more music now. Been doing it on an off since about 11 am.

That's a wonderful time of day to be outside at this time of year. When it was so hot a couple of weeks ago, I was out walking at 5 and it's really magical. Shingles is ghastly, so I wish you a speedy recovery.

When I was taking my exams as a school student and then a university student, I got into the habit of getting up early and putting in some last-minute revision. I always felt nervous if I wasn't there in good time, so I'd arrive early enough to have time to walk for miles through local parks. I rationalised it that it would relax me but with hindsight, the main point was that I was able to be in the room at the right time.

Teenagers nowadays don't always seem to have the same attitude to timekeeping which might be somewhat worrying. :(

If you can get a personal recommendation for a Chiropracter I would really recommend for back probs. I saw one when I'd reached the point of not being able to stand up straight at all, could only scuttle around bent over really badly. The Chiro I saw sorted that out for me, took a few sessions, but it worked really well for me. Having said that, I'd be a bit worried to go to just any Chiro... I had a recommendation from one of my daughters' friends' Dads - he had good help from the Chiro I went to see.

Hope you can get your back pain sorted - it's the pits to deal with.

    Best wishes from Liverpool. :)

Thanks, there is a good chiro who I have seen but he has stopped taking bupa so I just see a physio at the same place but not as good I fear. Bupa have also given me the option of seeing a back specialist or an orthopedic consultant, I would prefer the former but it involves a drive into n london or trains, tubes and a walk, neither of which I felt up to on Friday whereas the 10 min drive to the consultants was possible. I decided to wait and see if it settled as I am due to see the physio again soon and I think I can just about walk enough to make it to work in London tomorrow if I am still as well as I am this evening, Friday and yesterday that was definitely not possible.

Oh dear, very sorry to hear that. Do you know what's brought it on?

Everytime I try and borrow a book from herts libraries I get a message 'your session has expired, please log in' even though I am logged in. Nothing to read on the train tomorrow now :(

Hope you're on the mend now Michaels. I put my back out for the first time ever back in April and was out of action for 10 days so I'm being especially careful now not to overdo anything.
