If libraries are cut due to austerity, what will be next? Art galleries (could move it all to tumblr I suppose) Or museums?
Mind you, these libraries are pretty cool!
Smaller live music venues have already had a huge push over the end and certain circumstances (that I don't want to get into the rights and wrongs on the NPT, there are many other threads for that) are looking like it'll be made a lot worse.
There is only so much companies can do in this situation, in the same way as there can only be so much commercial support for art galleries and libraries. All 3 are IMO essential services, and all 3 are massively underfunded.💙💛 💔0 -
You could have a local bookshop just for local people!
SingleSue hasn't been on for a few days. I hope she hasn't been made ill from all the travelling to Uni, etc.
Aww thanks for thinking of me....I'm actually away on holiday at the moment and restricting my time on the internet as much as possible barring my site work and getting busy with just relaxing and chilling. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

I generally don't announce it, a throw back to when I was little and my parents telling me not to shout it from the roof tops in case of toe rags hanging around to hear.

The beers are lovely and about €1,20 a bottle in PT (paid £2,10 here, which isn't bad too). The sandwich was lovely and so is the chef.
Huge sandwich and 3 beers for less than £10, can't complain at that at all, so at least my sampling was moneysaving :money:
I really like the pastries, they are my favourite, nom nom nom...Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? The offence was in 1870 .... at 1am. Found drunk in the street, aged 58, at 1am; so drunk she had to be stretchered off. What a role model *rolls eyes*.
Could be worse. It might be 1PM, just after lunch. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
There are some illnesses that can make you appear blind drunk, with lurching, confusion, incoherent and slurred speech, even vomiting.
Diabetes, epilepsy, brain injuries, Wilson's Disease (excess copper), Parkinson's Disease, dementias, Ataxia.
I once took someone to hospital who was in the throes of having an atypical stroke, and I had a right battle to persuade the triage nurse and the doctors that the person wasn't drunk.(I just lurve spiders!)

Wow, how can anyone afford to pay that amount out in rent on a standard wage? How could you afford to live?Still striving to be mortgage free before I get to a point I can't enjoy it.
