Everytime I try and borrow a book from herts libraries I get a message 'your session has expired, please log in' even though I am logged in. Nothing to read on the train tomorrow now
I've been having some trouble recently. The magazine company Zinio and the talking book company (One Click Digital iirc) are merging and it is taking a bit of ironing out.
It's also worth checking whether your card has expired. Herts lib cards expire every two years.
Or get off at Borehamwood then reboard... They have a free book swap there. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? "free book swap" is that what I call a library?
Borehamwood library moved a couple of years ago, so now it's only a few minutes walk from the station.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. If libraries are cut due to austerity, what will be next? Art galleries (could move it all to tumblr I suppose) Or museums?
Mind you, these libraries are pretty cool! There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Borehamwood library still very much there. But there is also a free book swap with ex library stock and public donations, at Borehamwood train station.

Loved those!
My dream job would be to own a bookshop or library.
Not sure if I'd want to let the public in though!0 -

A book swap at stations sounds a brilliant idea!
DGS had the the first of two taster days at his secondary school yesterday and is there again today. He seems to have got on all right. There are 3 other boys from his current school in his tutor group, which is good, and none from his previous school.
He did see five boys from his class at the previous school among the new intake, including two of the ones who bullied him, so he spoke to the non-bullies and ignored the others. Hopefully he will be able to continue to ignore them once next term starts.0 -

I've been testing out more Portuguese things for Viva tonight.
The beers are lovely and about €1,20 a bottle in PT (paid £2,10 here, which isn't bad too). The sandwich was lovely and so is the chef.
Huge sandwich and 3 beers for less than £10, can't complain at that at all, so at least my sampling was moneysaving :money:💙💛 💔0
