I wonder if you can get a square tuit?

I could do with a whole army of tuits. :(

Room for .... but it won't as I've no need for one. Never owned a dining table; never expect to.

Ah, so your kitchen's the size of a small planet too!

Mine's .... 8'x14' or so. Huge on paper, impractical in reality. I do plan to get a little table/seating area in there, with the seats doubling as storage boxes - window seats. It's a small bay area.

I'm envisaging that your extension will add value and appeal. Being able to have a lounging area and a dining area will add appeal to families.

Adding a seating area to your kitchen is definitely worthwhile. We used to have 2 2 seaters and only ate at bar stools by the island. Now we have proper chairs and a dining table, the room is even better.

Would it be worth doing foundations that could support a second storey as a selling feature that will not really alter the cost of the job?

    Diner/study is about 12x11.

    Lounge is 12x12

    Kitchen/family/diner is 18x25

    Utility is 11 x 8

    Downstairs showeroom is 9x3
    I think....

I expect that seagull will now sh* t on your car, as a thank you! :rotfl:

I remember reading about Tyneham and I think there was a programme about it.
It sounds like an interesting place to visit.
It was very sad, at the time, for the residents.

I collected my new glasses yesterday and I'm so pleased with them! I'd been getting sore eyes and thought it was just because the computer screen was slightly too far away, but within an hour I realised my eyes weren't sore any more :j

They are very pretty too - tortoiseshell on the outward-facing surfaces, lilac inside. After I've "had me cataracts done" I'll get them reglazed as sunglasses - they're Ray-ban frames so might as well!

    That sounds painful. :(
Give yourself a treat; it's for the shock, you know. Shocks always respond to treats.

It does beg the question, though; what had that pot plant ever done to you? ;)

I had a rocky bar biscuit and a coffee :)

I didn't kick the plant, it was "high kicks over it". It's a special plant for me. My biggest/favourite. It's about 2' high ... so not VERY "high kicks".... and still c0cked it up :)

Sounds like you self-medicated for the shock very well! :)

Fair dos re. the plant kick. I shan't have to report you to the RSPCP then, :D
