I've been robbed! Some shop keeper has passed me an old pound coin in my change. B4st4rd.

Yup, I got one the other day.
Don't mind, because I have still to count up and bag the ones I'd saved in a money box, and take them to the bank. Should be around £80 worth.

I'm keeping one of each design I've got. Haven't managed to find all the designs, but I have a lot of them.

Got my first plastic tenner the other day. So that's two notes that keep bouncing out of my purse!

Maggie..... sorry to hear about your stolen stuff. That's miserable. :(

Is Duck a boat, or a pedalo shaped like a giant duck? :D

I had to drive through an area full of trees this morning, so kept looking out for fallen/falling branches. Luckily there weren't any to speak of, just some twigs.

    Flippin' awful aren't they.
My wallet is one that folds into three so it fits in a trouser pocket - it doesn't take long in it for these polymer notes to take up a permanent bend.

Can you get a new trolley that's Duck-shaped? I assume you take Duck out of the water for the winter?

At least Duck survived the storms unscathed, even if someone has stolen your trolley. </Pollyanna>
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Now I want to know why the trolley is called Pollyanna.

New trolley hopefully is arriving Nov 4th, so then OH loads Duck onto it and she gets pulled up to the field below caravan field which has been set up as a boat park. We've been waiting for this (deleted ;) ) trolley since the beginning of summer!

The trolley that was stolen was only a small launching trolley for the 8 foot rowing dinghy. The actual road trolley for the dinghy was stolen off the beach the first time we used it, maybe 15 years ago?

Just to fill you all in... OH went to empty our rubbish into the bins in the next field and met his friend B who had come up from down the lane to speak to him. He'd been asking around, and one of the folks who live in bungalows behind the beach had looked out and seen our dinghy being washed out to sea, complete with trailer and anchor. Feel sad for the little boat, but also angry as had suggested to OH he go out and put her on the hard behind the beach. He just said that the tide wasn't high enough to need to do that!

Grrrr! I think he now feels stupid, especially since I had a similar thing early in my illness when he left boat out on the shore (he was still working then, so I stayed on at caravan with the girls) and there was a weather surge, had to rush down the hill with the kids (about 8 and 10 then I think) to rescue, but someone else had already pulled her onto the hard. I don't know how I got back to the field, but the last 100 yards I was damn near crawling. It's a 3 arrow road to get to the beach (about the steepest road you can get in UK).

RIP White Jasper, had some good times in you, little boat.

    What a shame!:(

Amazed that it got washed away despite being attached to trailer and anchor!

Just makes you realise how powerful the sea can be.
