Most of our local organised displays were cancelled last night due to flooded fields so it meant people have had their own parties at home which is worse. Both dogs have been terrified.Spend less now, work less later.0

I find some of the bangs frightening, so I sympathise with your dogs. Unfortunately, I’m expecting a further barrage tonight. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Talking about bad for the environment, I cannot resist a bargain. So, I bought one of these for 1p including delivery.

I have no use for it whatsoever, and it’s not worth eBaying it. But it’s a bargain, so I had to have it.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
We have our big organised one tonight, unfortunately it is just up the road from my work (no more than a 10 minute slow walk) and there is no parking at the venue so they advise everyone to park in the town high street and car parks.
I work on the high street and obviously park near my work in a little private car park at the back, it's going to be a blooming nightmare trying to leave work (at the peak time of people arriving) as people abandon their cars because they either can't be bothered to go round looking for a space or have left it too late to get one. Last year some 'helpful' people parked partially over the little lane that leads to our car park and I had to mess about trying to get out. It doesn't help that people assume that as the lane leads to the backs of the businesses and looks to be no more than a large alley, that it won't be in use at that time of night and on a Sunday.
I don't mind fireworks (none of my pets have been bothered either), it's just people being inconsiderate that gets my goat.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Years ago my dad was hit from behind when the 30mph traffic slowed, then stopped, but the daft mare behind him had turned round to look at/speak to her children! She didn't notice the traffic slowing and just carried on driving at 30mph while not looking where she was going at all.0 -
Years ago I too was hit from behind...because the bloke driving the van was turned away talking to his dog in the footwell of the passenger seat!We made it! I get super annoyed when I see drivers on telly turning to face the passenger for a chat! I want to shout at the screen. Increasingly, too, presenters driving and talking into the camera in their car!!!!
I don't turn to speak to passengers, ever. I'm driving - looking forward - watching the road....
It's dangerous; why do they do it??0 -

Keep it in the hope that one of your children provide a grandchild in the future. Didn’t one of your kids marry last year? Maybe show it it him/her as a hint?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. What was it Nikki wrote about putting on big girls knickers? Not that it’s anything I’ve ever done. I think you have to get your courage up, gird your loins, bite the bullet, and grasp the nettle. Otherwise, it will be sold before you have even seen it.
If it was indeed me I think I might have actually got that phrase from lir! Sometimes one does need to put on the big girl pantsYou might not have done that but I'm sure you've grasped more than your fair share of nettles. How are you doing post-surgery? Well, I hope xx

It’s great to hear from you Nikki.
:j
I’m doing surprisingly well after the surgery. I took the surgeon a prezzie, and he said it’s usually like that. There can be leaks, but if that doesn’t happen then the patients just get better quite fast.
I lost a lot of weight after the surgery, but sadly I have put it all back. Apparently, everyone does. I am almost exactly the same weight as before the op.
How are you feeling? I know that you have been through much worse. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
