Have heard today that one stop put phones on the site for sale before they get them in stock, so they can sned them out as soon as they come in. (getting a lot of gaurenteed business whereas the high streets have to wait to have the actual phones) With the D500 they did this and due to stock issues I know some people waited over a month and a half!0

hi,
so whats the latest with the OSPS offer?
people ordered? when are they to be delivered? can you defo. downgrade after six months?
what incentives have people used? quidco? friend? online order?
what will the final outcome be for the entire year to run?
thanks,0 -
Its now available on the Orange website for contracts - costing between £29.99-£189.99.
Great deal on the website I've spotted is OVP T-mobile Relax 100. Thats 3 months half price line rental from orange, then after 6 months you can downgrade to any package you want - and the phone is £29.99 (cheapest yearly total = £218.99)
I think I'll go for O2 from mobileshop - which is 6 months half price line rental. (with CASHBACK THATS £75 + £96 = 171). Cashback from line my pocket with mobileshop is £8.50 bringing it down to £162.50!
NB: mobileshop is the same as fantasicmobile I mentioned earlier. Cashback is via 2 £37.50 cheques on the 6th month and 12th month. I emailed them to confirm that changing my tarriff after 6 months will not effect the cashback.0 -

thanks,
I've got 2 contracts with OSPS.
1) I got a talkshare (orange) with them and they completely cocked up my exitsting orange contract. They told orange they had permission to change my account, when they didn't. They have failed to send the cashback form despite numberous calls and emails.
2) My other contract I'm still awaiting my first cash back, 3 weeks after sending the coupons.
Don't expect anything useful from the customer services. Delivery will take at least a week too.
Its up to you, but I'd prefer to try a different company this time. But if you are willing to take the risk, you could save yourself a lot of money.0 -
I'm with Umer, definetly use Mobileshop as customer services is really good.I say what I like, I like what I say!0

Hi Umer,
thanks for your input.
when sending cashback what turnaround time do they state? i used a local shop previously and it took them a month......some sites online state 30-45 days so its unfair to bash OSPS if they have stated a max time?
i took out 2 contracts in 2001 and 2002 but this was before the influx of these c'back deals and on the whole was happy with them.
i do like the deal they are offering as i can get the phone and line for £0.00 but this only works if they do their part. i.e. send cashback and honour friend cash back etc.
i am scared they may not
what should i do?
any happy OSPS users ???
thanks,0 -
mak_attack, There are a lot of happy OSPS customers. I just don't expect things to go as smoothly as I would like. For instance, getting your recommend a friend money is very difficult.
They should honour their part but don't expect it to be easy.
If you are happy for the hassle, and don't mind waiting a bit longer for the phone then you should be ok with using OSPS.
Hope that helps.0 -
hi Umer,
thanks for your reply. i will try my luck i suppose. i am being recommended by a friend and i will recommend someone else as i am looking to get two phones. i hope they honour this.
i just hope they can send cashback within 30 days after each claim is made.
they hopefully honour the £10 online discount and quidco works.
i am looking to place an order weds morning i will ring them to double check and get things in writing.
thanks,0 -
e2save.com have a great deal. £2.99 for 6 months with Anyone 200 on the Vodafone network. Take a look here:

A very good alternative to OSPS.0
