    has anyone else ordered this?

I placed an order and when I log into OSPS 'My Account' link and then check my order, it says "Free gift 3 months half price rental(from network)"

that certainly is nowhere as good as 8 months free!

Not sure if it is locked to O2 though, will ask my friend who got his yesterday to try his old Orange Sim in the phone.

Would be extremely interested to hear if it is unlocked to other networks. Please keep us posted!

I'm buying it on contract because it will be cheaper than sim-free, but want to continue using my current Orange Sims in it.

O2 seem to be the only people who have it, so thats the cheapest!!
The good thing about O2 is that the phone comes unbranded, so no changes to the firmware (like Orange + Vodafone).

    On Voda Orange and 02.

If your worried about not being able to have songs as a tone, there is a Sony Ericsson DRM (Data Rights Manager) you can download, and it gives your songs a "key" so the phone thinks it has a license, so you can have them as tones.

!!!!!! site says Orange is Pre Order. Still pretty sure Vodafone do not have them yet either, unless anyone knows differant!!!!
Not sure about DRM, but doing a quick search on Google says its something to do with the Memory stick and reports of it being uncompatable!!!!!
Still awaiting confirmation that the O2 phone is not locked.

DRM has nothing to do with the memory stick.

When you get a sony ericsson only out on Vodafone, (or any other), they usually make the music have licenses so they know they are approved and are not illeagal music from online.

The SE DRM lets you load up any song on your PC and it gives it a license, so when you upload that song to your phone, the phone see's the licence and it lets you play them and have them as your ringtone.

I'm not sure if the 02 version is locked or not.

My friend has just confirmed that the O2 K750 is not locked as he has just had his Orange Sim in it!! Apparently all of the O2 phones are not locked, same as the BT ones.

Thats excellent! I might get an 02 contract instead then. I think I can downgrade after 6 months too!

Can anyone else confirm that the 02 phones are unlocked? I'm thinking about purchasing this:

6 months half price line rental too!

Hi Umer, that looks a very good deal!!!! Will let my mate know, that should please him!!!
I will confirm again that the O2 K750 is not locked.
You also get a USB Data Cable in the box which is very handy for transferring the loads of free themes, pictures, ringtones avaliable from the net.
