Here's a thing.

I've been with my other half almost two years now. We've lived together for just over a year, with my 12 year old son. I'm 10 weeks pregnant with his baby.
I see myself spending the rest of my life with him and eventually, we'll probably get married. We're not engaged.

I would freak right out if he booked and paid a deposit on our wedding without consulting me.

It's not romantic, it's not practical, it's downright weird.

Lucky escape. Brush yourself down, concentrate on yourself and your kids for a bit and when the time is right, move on.
