oopsie have got myself in so much of pickle I have just updated the June grocery challenge instead of July! Anyway what with holidays and a lot of visitors I got waylaid and forgot to keep my receipts. I would have been well over budget so must declare this month as a failure. Onto August and hopefully a much better and more organised month. Good luck everyone - see you over there0

Hi everyone
Pay day today which means the start of a new month:j
Declaring at £141.29/£140 which is annoyingly close but not close enough
I'm away for most of August so I'm not going to do a monthly GC. I'm going to use my time at home in August to make inroads into that freezer:eek: I'm a bit guilty of doing all the right things (ys, batch cooking, keeping leftovers) and then don't use them as often as i should
Have a successful August and I'll see you in September

£273.26 for July. Way over budget and I thought I done well haha. It means my budget is over for the year so have to try and pull it back somehow
February GC £26.68/£2500 -
I bought some fruit and salad bits yesterday (and crackers for the big issue seller who is suffering with morning sickness - the only thing I could stomach when I was feeling pukey so I'm hoping it'll help her). I seem to have lost the receipt but I'm pretty sure it was around £11 in total. I'm going to count £15 to be on the safe side and declare at £99.26/£100.
See you next month!0 -
Hi everyone,
Been mia as had a week at partner's mum's house. Very nice, relaxed, no worrying about food!! Since coming back, I've done a weekly shop across L and A, as L had spreadable butter on a great offer this weekend. I spent £31.56 across the two shops, but that takes me over July's budget by £8.48. So, I'm going to slightly cheat... As most of the food will be used in August anyway, I'm just going to carry the overspend into August and start the month at £8.48.
Looking forward to August, and using up some of the megastocks in my house!!!
