Had a similar situation a few years back, with several tickets from the workplace for not displaying permit at the time.
Dealt with BWLegal who admitted that I did indeed have the authority to park there, and was indeed a permit holder, but as I did not display the permit I was liable because "the signage clearly indicates that you must display the permit at all times".
The trouble for them was that the signage had no such statement. It only said that only authorised permit holders are allowed to park in designated bays. Not heard from then since. Been a couple of years. So moral of the story is, check what the signage says and/or contract your employer/landlord has with the company,.0 -
Just an update to this.
Case was moved from Manchester to Stockport CC and due to be heard in the middle of June.
About 2 weeks before hand the case was dropped.
I win. :T
Further to that, my defence has been used by several other people at my work and their cases have also subsequently been dropped afer a court date was set.:T
Thanks to everyone for their help & advice.0
