Last day of the month so just putting in my final figures. Decided to pay another £7 towards the MBNA to round the figure up.

Final countdown begins for the return to school. Feisty preschooler can't wait whereas DS realises with each new school year comes less play learning.

Been continuing with the Christmas shopping  finding some good bargains with cashback. Don't think we'll get the twins much either again. They'll be 18 months and have no concept of gifts etc. Was probably going to get them a couple if scuttlebugs

Did my weekly shop this morning at Adl1. Normally go alone but feisty preschooler wanted to come so I agreed. However, soon as we got there she was bursting for a wee. So my shopping trip looked more like super market sweep :rotfl: Did mean it was cheaper than usual

    Totals as of 31st August

How funny with your DH, mine looks the same when I work a Saturday and he's home all day with our 2 :rotfl: Well done on completing the room swap. It's hard storing the older children's things for the younger ones isn't it? Mind you, I'm enjoying the thrill of shipping out anything DS2 outgrows. The second it anything looks too small it's straight in to 1 of 3 bags - pass on to a friend or sell/charity shop/bin, I've been ruthless ;)
Not long until Septmeber and that next thousand bracket x

I'm enjoying the same process whenever the twins outgrow things.

2 more days to go until more payments are made and into the teens :D #soveryexcited

I actually have no idea when we were last in the teens for debt. I suspect it may have been in 2012. :o The end is in sight for sure now. What's amazing to see is since starting this diary in June 2017 we have paid off £26737.84  that works out as an average of £990 a month. Equally happy and ashamed with that number to be honest.

I would still love to be debt free by the end of 2020 but I think the current DFD is within the first few months of 2021.

Have a few days off this week.I wanted to take DS and Feisty preschooler to their first day of school on Wednesday. Being back at work I won't get the opportunity so much to do it..

    Totals as of 2nd September

    HSBC CC £3805
MBNA CC £2067 £363 paid off
    Tesco Loan £4893.92

  • That debt figure is coming down nicely. It is nice to think of being debt free now the finish line is in sight and you will have around £1k more each month to spend or save as you wish.
